Nuclear Medicine Technologist Roles and Responsibilities:

* To operate scintillation detectors and computers which produce images and measure concentrations of radionuclides in specific body areas and body products to obtain information for diagnosis.
* To assist with the therapeutic administration of radionuclides.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

* Graduate of an accredited nuclear medicine technology program.
* Registered by CNMT or ARRT.
* Current BLS certification required.
* Thorough knowledge and skill in performing nuclear medicine procedures Considerable ability to accept new responsibilities as new equipment and examinations are introduced into the department.

4 North is an Intermediate Cardiac Care Unit that specializes in the care of cardiac patients with an emphasis on Heart Failure disease management. Nursing responsibilities include patient assessment, monitoring, and collaboration with the multidisciplinary team to ensure appropriate medications and treatments are implemented and evaluated. We strive to empower patients to improve and sustain the best possible quality of life through self-management tools from the time of diagnosis to the end of life.

Cardiac procedures include patients requiring permanent pacemakers, ablations, cardioversions, heart catherization, stents and minimally invasive valve procedures.

In addition to our Heart Failure specialty, we provide care for any patients requiring telemetry monitoring:

Job Summary: To perform diversified duties in the Electrophysiology Lab and Hybrid OR, assisting the electrophysiologist intra-procedurally including preparation and positioning of patients, operation of x-ray equipment in radiological and fluoroscopic procedures, scrubbing, monitoring, and recording hemodynamic parameters according to policy. Must successfully complete corporate and department specific skill validations and maintain core competencies.

Core Competencies: The CVT will be competent to monitor and scrub diagnostic and interventional electrophysiology studies, ablations, device cases such as: generator changes, PPM and ICD implants including complex CRM devices, device explants, lead extraction, venogram, temporary PPM, left atrial appendage closure, and implantable loop recorders. Responsibilities may also include training new or existing employees.

Qualifications: Able to communicate and collaborate effectively with staff, patients, physicians, and families to achieve positive outcomes. BLS/ACLS certification required. 1 year of clinical experience with an EP Lab is required. One year of traveler experience preferred. Cannot be a Full Time or Part Time CaroMont Employee. CEPS or RCES certification preferred. Graduate of an approved cardiovascular technology program preferred. Caromont Health may recognize alternative allied health credentials for applicants with experience in an EP Lab.
