Political Affairs Internship:

The role focuses on making poverty a focus of U.S., Canadian and U.K. foreign policy. This is a part-time 12-hours per week, 12 week, unpaid remote internship. If your availability is limited, you can work ahead and complete the program in fewer weeks.

Responsibilities will include:

Leading public and political outreach in your state and district.
Meeting with members of Congress/Government in your State/District/Constituency.
Representing The Borgen Project at various business, political and community events.
Assisting with fundraising. Create a personal fundraising campaign and meet targets.
Mobilizing individuals to contact their members of Government in support of key poverty-reduction legislation.
Speaking to groups, classes and organizations.
Writing letters of support for key programs to political leaders, media and other groups.

Overview:

Maintains the campground location according to Park standards.

* The Grounds Attendants are responsible for upkeep and cleaning of outdoor public areas in Camp Wilderness.
* Responsible for the overall cleanliness of public restrooms facilities. Components include (but not limited to) sinks, toilets, urinals, showers, counters, floors, windows, and walls.
* Responsible for daily cleaning of charcoal grills, as well as proper disposal of coal and ash.
* Responsible for picking up and disposing trash, foliage, pet waste, and other litter throughout the facility.
* Responsible for daily changing and replacement of trash cans throughout assigned property and operates trash compactor.
* Ensures guest walkways and sidewalks are clear of debris, foliage, mulch, and dirt.
* Ensures the overall cleanliness of guest coin operated laundry facilities as well as washer and dryer equipment.
* Responsible for cleaning and de-cobwebing of wayfinding signs, fences/gates, and building structures.
* Responsible for upkeep and overall functionality of storage rooms and closets.

Entertainment Supervisor daily assigned duties may vary depending on location/program assignment & may include tasks such as:

- Supervising daily operations within the Entertainment department
- Opening/closing locations ensuring cleanliness in guest facing areas as well as backstage areas

Safety is a top priority here at Carowinds, and our Safety team is full of professional and compassionate individuals dedicated to caring for others. Carowinds is looking for EMTs to provide emergency and non-emergency care to all of our Guests and associates. As part of this team, you'll staff the park's First Aid office and respond to medical calls on property. You'll also:

* Provides basic clinical, life support and/or emergency care to guests and associates including wound care, removing splinters, dispensing over-the-counter medications and patient assessments.
* Processes and completes departmental paperwork thoroughly, accurately and legibly as well as maintains high degree of confidentiality.
* Maintains all first aid facilities, vehicles, and equipment in a clean and sanitary condition. Performs cleaning duties according to OSHA and Park Blood-Borne Pathogen Requirements.
* Performs and interprets pre-employment urine drug screens. Collects and processes urine specimens for post-incident, reasonable cause and random drug screens.
* Assists with weekly, monthly, quarterly safety inspections and immediately reports hazardous conditions. Documents findings as directed.

Overview:
The Supervisor of Ride Operations is responsible for ensuring that the Ride Operations Department maintains a professional atmosphere and ensures the standards of safety and guest service are being upheld by direct and indirect reports. Makes regular field visits to monitor employee performance and policy compliance and resolving various operational issues.
Responsibilities:

* Ensures the safety of our guests and employees by ensuring that all employees are operating according to the policies and procedures outlined in the Standard Operating Procedures manual; directs employee actions during emergency
situations and resolves operational concerns.
* Supervises daily work performance of Ride Operators; provides coaching and counseling regarding performance and disciplinary situations; provides credible input into discipline, promotion, demotion and termination
decisions; prepares and conducts job performance evaluations for direct and indirect reports.
* Ensures guest satisfaction by responding and resolving guest concerns quickly, coordinating other departments' actions that can impact Ride Operations, and making decisions that resolve issues that arise in the daily operation.

* Interacts with guests in a friendly, courteous, and professional manner. Registers guests, assign rooms, check out guests, arrange for special requests, provide hotel and area information, answer phones, and ensure that all operating procedures are followed.
* Dispenses and accounts for package tickets and discount coupons.
* Accurately totals guest balances and collects payment.
* Uses proper mail, package, and message handling procedures.
* Effectively resolves guest concerns and issues with use of minor compensation.

* Technicians with audio, lighting, networking and show control backgrounds.
* Audio Engineers with troubleshooting skills, understanding of signal flow in live mixing; knowledge of QLab playback and show control as well as digital sound consoles such as Mackie and Allen+Heath are a plus.
* Master Electricians to oversee and maintain designated show rigs and control systems. Must be capable of troubleshooting equipment and software problems at a moment's notice. Knowledge of conventional and moving lighting fixtures, DMX addressing and ETC Consoles are a must. Knowledge of Video Walls, Pixel/LED tape and Power Distro Racks are a plus.
* Operate a variety of equipment, as assigned, such as golf carts, forklifts, scissor lifts, boom lifts, construction equipment, and motor vehicles.
