• Performs direct patient care. Collects data to determine correct procedure /protocol to be followed. Performs screening processes for medication reconciliation and allergy confirmation. • Maintains professional competencies and complies with needed education requirements as dictated by their credentialing body. Maintains clinical competencies based on departmental policies, protocols, and procedures. Works with radiologist to develop and maintain standard protocols for routine procedures.
• Moves patient from a wheelchair or a stretcher to the imaging table and positions the patient for best imaging results. Novant Health is seeking an MRI Technologist to join our REMARKABLE outpatient imaging team in a collaborative, patient-focused environment.

Facility: Novant Health Imaging Huntersville (3T MRI)
Location: 10030 Gilead Road, Huntersville, NC 28078 
Position Type: PRN, as needed

What We’re Looking For:

• ARRT (MR) certification required
• Prior MR experience preferred
• Commitment to delivering compassionate, high-quality care

• Education: 
  • 2 Year / Associate Degree, preferred.
  • Graduate of ARRT-approved Radiography Program or MR Program, required.
• Experience: Minimum of one year of experience in MR, preferred.
• Licensure/Certification:
  • Minimum of one year of experience in MR, required.
  • NH Independent Diagnostic Testing Facility - Certified and Registered within 6 Months of hire in ARRT RT(R)(MR), required.
  • Hospital Outpatient Department-Certified and registered by ARRT in MR - RT(R)(MR) or RT(MR), required.
  • Refer to the Life Support Training Policy NH-HR-3096 for life support training requirement
  • Applicable state license, required.
• Additional Skills (required): Thorough knowledge of MRI imaging equipment, Analytical ability and basic computer skills. Has the ability to interpret information to identify each patient’s requirements for care relative to his/her age specific needs. Good communication skills.
