Support a precision manufacturing facility producing high-performance conveyor and motion systems by ensuring all production and facility equipment operates safely, reliably, and efficiently. This role exists to sustain uptime, troubleshoot mechanical systems, and lead hands-on maintenance solutions that keep operations moving without interruption.

Diagnose & Repair Equipment Failures: Troubleshoot, evaluate, and repair production, fabrication, and test equipment — with emphasis on mechanical systems such as gearboxes, bearings, hydraulics, and pneumatics.

Perform Preventive Maintenance: Execute and improve the preventative maintenance program to reduce downtime and extend equipment lifespan.

Fabricate & Innovate: Read or create sketches, source materials, and fabricate repair parts or improvements as needed. Demonstrate creative, “hands-on” problem-solving to keep production on schedule.

Support Safety & Reliability: Follow lockout/tagout and plant safety procedures rigorously; identify hazards before they become incidents.

Collaborate Across Teams: Partner with Production, Fabrication, and Quality departments to prioritize repairs and support production goals.

Document & Communicate: Maintain clear, accurate logs, schematics, and reports; communicate effectively with supervisors and peers to ensure smooth shift transitions.

• Must have served in the U.S. Army, U.S. Navy, U.S. Marine Corps, U.S. Air Force, U.S. Coast Guard, U.S. Space Force, U.S. Reserves, or U.S. National Guard.
  

• Minimum 5 years of mechanical and basic electrical maintenance experience (or equivalent military background)
  

• Experience with industrial equipment repair including gearboxes, chains, bearings, sprockets, hydraulics, and pneumatics
  

• Ability to read and interpret mechanical and electrical schematics, relay logic, and basic automation diagrams
  

• Basic fabrication and electrical troubleshooting ability (wiring, motors, relays, controls)

Role Description

The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting the Sr. Project Manager, Superintendent, and Project Team with overall project leadership, documentation and control, job cost accounting, scheduling, and construction supervision efforts. In order to be successful, this candidate should feel comfortable taking on many tasks that require various skills, and appropriately prioritizing those tasks' completion. The Project Manager must be experienced and knowledgeable with all aspects of Water/Wastewater construction and have a steadfast commitment to the ownership of the work it entails.

Responsibilities

• Lead office staff and on-site management to ensure project success
• Ensure project plan is moving forward to meet anticipated deadlines
• Create and update Project Schedules using P6
• Responsible for RFI & Submittal process and all material procurement
• Perform detailed technical reviews of shop drawings and product data
• Develop Schedule of Values and compile monthly Owner billings on time
• Process project related accounting including subcontractor payments
• Create and maintain accurate updated logs for weekly progress tracking and audits
• Train and develop Project Engineers understanding of industry best practices
• Ability to resolve disputes and negotiate change items to mitigate schedule and cost impacts
• Develop and maintain positive Owner and Engineer relationships throughout the duration of the project

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mech/Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent experience
• 5-15 years' of experience as a Project Manager, Assistant Project Manager, Senior Project Engineer
• Strong construction technology familiarity with Bluebeam, Procore, P6, and Microsoft Office
• Familiarity with safety rules, regulations, best practices and QA/QC performance standards
• Prior Water & Wastewater knowledge or relevant work experience required
• Demonstrated professional communication and technical writing skills
• Prior success in completing complex multimillion dollar projects

Key Responsibilities

Technical & Customer Support

• Assist in responding to customer and internal technical inquiries related to solar racking systems and installation methods.

• Support troubleshooting of common installation and constructability questions under supervision.

• Escalate complex or project specific issues to senior technical staff or Engineering as required.

Design & Documentation Support

• Review and interpret basic engineering drawings, layouts, and installation manuals with guidance.

• Assist in confirming product compatibility based on general site conditions and documented standards.

• Support maintenance of technical documentation, FAQs, and internal knowledge bases.

Field & Installation Awareness

• Learn standard installation practices and common field challenges for ground mount racking systems.

• Review site photos and installer feedback to help identify potential concerns related to terrain or soil conditions.

• Participate in site visits, training sessions, or inspections for learning purposes as needed.

Systems & Process

• Enter and maintain accurate technical records in CRM and document control systems.

• Track support requests and follow established workflows and SOPs.

• Develop familiarity with internal tools, processes, and cross functional communication.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 0–2 years of experience in solar, construction, engineering support, or a related technical field (internships acceptable).

• Basic understanding of solar PV systems and ground mount racking concepts.

• Ability to read and understand technical drawings at a foundational level.

• Awareness of environmental factors affecting installations (soil conditions, wind, snow, corrosion).

• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams).

• Strong willingness to learn technical products, standards, and processes.

• Strong communication skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team based environment.

Preferred Skills & Qualifications

• Exposure to solar installation, field support, or construction environments.

• Coursework or degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Renewable Energy, or related field.

• Basic familiarity with CRM systems or technical documentation tools.

• Interest in pursuing NABCEP or other relevant certifications.
