POSITION SUMMARY:


Under general supervision, the Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) will provide a combination of nursing services, instruction, and assessments throughout the hospital; to participate in a variety of nursing assessments, direct patient care, and health education services; and to do related work as required. The LPN is accountable for the delivery of patient care within the standards, policies, procedures and guidelines set forth by Unity, CMS, and Licensure Standards.


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:  To perform this job, an individual must perform each essential function satisfactorily with or without a reasonable accommodation.  



  • Supervise all resident/patient treatments.
  • Assist physicians and the Director of Nursing in the treatment and examination of patients.
  • Perform administrative duties such as documenting nurses’ notes, physicians’ orders, discharge plans, dietary changes, reports, evaluations and studies.
  • Order from pharmacy, prepare and administer medications as ordered by physician.
  • Conduct and monitor prescribed treatments, such as dressing changes, drawing of blood, catheter changes, NG tube insertion and removal, laboratory work, etc. as assigned.
  • Perform emergency procedures such as cardiopulmonary resuscitation, and in the event of death, notify family and appropriate third parties.
  • Inventory and request equipment, supplies, etc.
  • Admit, transfer and discharge patients.

Required Work Experience:  



  • Minimum of six (6) months experience in a hospital, long term care facility or other health care institution.

Licensing/Certification/Education Requirements:  



  • Completion of a Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) Program
  • Current State Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license

  • Position may require unscheduled overtime, week-end work

About the Clinician's Workday

The anesthesiologist will provide comprehensive anesthesia services during day shifts from Monday through Friday, 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Clinical responsibilities encompass managing diverse cardiac procedures including general cardiac cases, transplants, catheterization laboratory procedures, interventional cases, bypass surgeries, and perfusion procedures. The position requires board certification and prescriptive authority, with call coverage being negotiable. Our South Central Regional positions offer great pay with lots of drop & hook freight. You spend more time on the road earning and less time waiting at the shippers. It is our goal for every driver residing within 50 miles of Memphis, Houston, or Dallas to get at least a 34-hour weekly restart. Drivers residing in all other areas are out for 12 days, home 3 days. Our drivers can earn some of the highest take-home pay in the business. And to help keep your pay more consistent, we'll pay the portion of miles you've run right up to the payroll cut-off time. Border Patrol work requires the ability to speak and read Spanish, as well as English.

Border Patrol Agents will be provided training to become proficient with the Spanish language at the Academy.
