Job Title: Physician Assistant - Surgery
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Physician Assistant to join our Surgery team. The Physician Assistant will assist in surgical procedures, provide patient care pre and post-operatively, and work closely with the surgical team to ensure excellent patient outcomes.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assist in surgical procedures under the supervision of a Surgeon
2. Conduct pre-operative assessments and post-operative care for patients
3. Perform physical examinations and interpret diagnostic tests
4. Manage and evaluate patient treatment plans
5. Educate patients and their families on surgical procedures and aftercare
6. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive patient care
7. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
8. Adhere to all safety and infection control protocols
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant program
2. Current PA license in the state of practice
3. Previous experience in surgical or acute care setting preferred
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
5. Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
6. Strong attention to detail and critical thinking skills
7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
