POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
Provides direct and indirect nursing care to patients in the ambulatory setting in accordance with UH policies and standards. Supports and promotes University Health values to ensure patient/guest relations. Performs the nursing process in a safe therapeutic manner in a designated clinic setting. Maintains, facilitates and promotes department policies and standards.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Graduation from an accredited school of vocational nursing is required. Starting pay varies based on experience; entry up to 2 years, 2–3 years and 4 years or more experience in health care delivery as an LVN. PALS and ACLS certification may be required based on site location.
LICENSURE
Must possess a current license to practice Vocational Nursing in the State of Texas. Must have a current AHA BLS Healthcare Provider or AHA BLS Instructor Provider card.

POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
In collaboration and consultation with physicians and other health care professionals, the nurse practitioner provides evidence-based, quality, compassionate and holistic care to in-patients and their families.
EDUCATION
A Registered Professional Nurse who is prepared for advanced nursing practice by virtue of knowledge and skills obtained through an accredited post basic or advanced educational program of study acceptable to the Board of Nurse Examiners. A Master's degree in nursing is preferred. Must be a participating Medicare provider or eligible to obtain a Medicare provider number. Three years of nursing experience is required and two years of advanced practice is preferred.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION
Must be currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in Texas and credentialed by the State to practice as an Advanced Nurse Practitioner. Must maintain current AHA BLS or higher in accordance with Medical-Dental staff bylaws. Prescriptive authority is required. A valid DEA number must be obtained within 90 days of hire. Certification by a national nursing body is required.
Performs the nursing process in a safe therapeutic manner in a designated clinic setting.
Provides direct patient care (dialysis) and monitoring of renal dialysis patients.
Oversees direct patient care of the ESRD patient on dialysis.
Supports and adheres to University Health and department specific policies and standards.
Mentors and serves as a clinical role model for all staff.
Receives mentoring from Nurse Staff III and the Director of Dialysis Services.
BSN is highly preferred.
Must meet career ladder Staff Nurse II criteria for worked area.
Two years or more of nursing experience required.
Must have current American Heart Association, Basic Cardiac Life Support and Healthcare Provider card.

RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support chain managers in helping to define, grow, and maintain relationships with chain account buyers to proactively define their future needs.
- Leverage ongoing contact with chain customers to support relevant programs/initiatives from Sales and Marketing.
- Assist chain managers with identifying, preparing, and/or documenting chain-account related collateral (e.g., account status, reporting trends, sales presentations).
