Summary The Division of Pulmonology in the Department of Pediatrics at Baylor College of Medicine has an opening for a full-time faculty position at CHRISTUS Children’s in San Antonio. The candidates' credentials and experience will determine the rank of the academic appointment.
Job Duties Responsibilities include admit, evaluate, diagnose, consult, and provide treatment to neonates, infants, children's, adolescents, and young adults (with congenital or lung diseases acquired during childhood) with all types of conditions, disorders, and diseases of the respiratory system and the lungs utilizing a variety of invasive and noninvasive diagnostic and therapeutic techniques. May provide care to patients in the intensive care setting in conformance with unit policies. Assess, stabilize, and determine disposition of patients with emergent conditions consistent with medical staff policy.
Minimum Qualifications Minimum Education: M.D./D.O. degree, or equivalent successful completion of an accredited fellowship in pediatric pulmonology.

Position Highlights
Clinical Responsibilities:
• Provide inpatient and outpatient Endocrinology consultations and follow-up care.
• Evaluate and manage a wide range of Endocrine disorders and diabetes, including advanced diabetes technologies.
• Perform and interpret specialized endocrine testing procedures.
• Proficiency performing thyroid ultrasounds and thyroid nodule biopsies (preferred).

• Facilities & Equipment: Access to state-of-the-art facilities including inpatient wards, infusion centers, specialty clinics, radiology, pathology, and metabolic testing areas. Two ultrasound machines are available for clinical use.
