The Opportunity
As a dedicated Manager, Claims Operations, you will lead and be accountable for auto, and other claims operations member service employees who are responsible for serving our members, and providing appropriate solutions as they investigate, evaluate and negotiate the claim. Develop engaged employees through regular coaching and feedback to deliver business results. Complete process improvements, provide feedback on the process and lead organizational process changes. Drive execution of operational risk management, regulatory compliance training, policies and, procedures.

What you'll do:
Inspect and review quality of claim files and provide feedback to employees as appropriate.
Responsible for ongoing coaching and driving awareness so employees understand how their work and contributions support the overall claims and Enterprise strategies.
Proactively identify opportunities to improve operational effectiveness, member experiences and processes providing feedback to internal partners
Build conditions for success removes obstacles, leads and champions change.
Achieve optimal productivity through leading workload volumes, staffing, training needs, and identifying and implementing appropriate solutions.
Responsible for ongoing monitoring of work to ensure consistent execution of processes and adherence to guidelines and frameworks.

Hire, develop, and coach claims employees for results delivery.

Ensure risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.
What you have:
Bachelor’s degree; OR 4 years of related experience (in addition to the minimum years of experience required) may be substituted in lieu of degree.
6 years of progressive customer service, operational, military or leadership experience to include a minimum of 2 years of claims handling experience required with demonstrated proficiency.
2 years of direct team lead, supervisory or management experience.
Experience using and interpreting data to make decisions.
Demonstrated leadership, initiative, customer service and/or claims handling skills.
Acquisition and maintenance of applicable insurance adjuster license within 6 months time in role.
What sets you apart:
- Current experience as a Claims Manager or Supervisor.
- 2+ years handling complex non-Injury auto coverage and liability decisioning.
- 2+ years physical damage and/or auto injury claims experience.
- 2+ years of experience handling total loss claims.
- Strong experience coaching and developing claims adjusters to meet organizational and development / career path goals.
- US military experience through military service or a military spouse/domestic partner.
Compensation range: The salary range for this position is: $103,450- $197,730.

The Opportunity
We are seeking a dedicated Life Actuary to join the Life Company's Asset Liability Management Team. This role coordinates, prepares, and performs actuarial analyses required to develop new products, project future results, reprice existing products, and/or determine financial strength.
This role is remote eligible in the continental U.S. with occasional business travel. However, individuals residing within a 60-mile radius of a USAA office will be expected to work on-site four days per week. Relocation assistance is not available for this position.
What you'll do:
- Performs complex work assignments utilizing actuarial modeling software driven models for pricing, valuation, and/or risk management.
- Reviews laws and regulations to ensure all processes are compliant; and provides recommendations for improvements and monitors industry communications regarding potential changes to existing laws and regulations.
- Runs models, generates reports, and presents recommendations and detailed analysis of all model runs to Actuarial Leadership.
- May make recommendations for model adjustments and improvements, when appropriate.
- Shares knowledge with team members and serves as a resource to team on escalated issues and navigates obstacles to deliver work product.
- Leads or participates as a key resource on moderately complex projects through concept, planning, execution, and implementation phases with minimal guidance, involving cross functional actuarial areas.
- Develops exhibits and reports that help explain proposals/findings and provides information in an understandable and usable format for stakeholders.
- Identifies and provides recommended solutions to business problems independently, often presenting recommendation to leadership.
- Maintains proper price level, price structure, data availability and other requirements to achieve profitability and competitive goals.

- Tests impact of assumptions by identifying sources of gain and loss, the appropriate premiums, interest margins, reserves, and cash values for profitability and viability of new and existing products.

- Do you have one of the following:
- 4 years relevant actuarial or analytical experience and attainment of Fellow within the Society of Actuaries (Bachelor's degree + 4 years of experience + FSA)
- OR 8 years relevant actuarial experience and attainment of Associate within the Society of Actuaries. (Bachelor's Degree + 8 years of experience + ASA)
- OR 8 years relevant actuarial or analytical experience and attainment of Fellow within the Society of Actuaries (FSA)
- OR 12 years relevant actuarial or analytical experience and attainment of Associate within the Society of Actuaries (ASA)
- Experience performing complex work assignments utilizing actuarial modeling software driven models for pricing, valuation, and/or risk management.
- Demonstrated experience communicating complex actuarial analysis and recommendations to technical and non-technical audiences.

Compensation range: The salary range for this position is: $127,310 - $236,250

Rite-Hite Sales Professionals work within protected territories to represent our various lines of products and services. The Opportunity
Within defined guidelines and framework, provides specialized Auto claims service in the recovery of payments made to USAA members by legally pursuing through arbitration a third party that caused an insurance loss to the insured. The Subrogation Specialist may also defend through arbitration claims by other insurance carriers against USAA.
What you'll do:
- Conduct claim investigations for moderate to high complexity cases in arbitration by analyzing the facts surrounding a loss to reach a recovery conclusion, including recorded statements, securing public records and analyzing report findings.
- Apply advanced knowledge of P&C insurance industry products, services and processes to include P&C insurance policy contracts and coverages, common law, contract law, state statutes, evidence and damages, and arbitration program rules.
- Generate contentions that accurately illustrate the facts of loss to effectuate maximum indemnity recovery or defense based on thorough analysis of claim and applicable program rules in Automobile, Medical Pay, or Personal Injury Protection (PIP) claims. Recognizes and documents subrogation, SIU, and salvage opportunities, and refer accordingly.
- Reimburse policyholder's deductible after recovery is made.
- Serve as an arbitrator who reviews contentions and evidence submitted by multiple carriers and renders decisions that appropriately cite program rules, statutory language, and other considerations to articulate the rationale for the decision reached.
- Ensure risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures.
What you have:
- High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma required.
- 2 years claims adjusting experience.
- Acquisition and maintenance of insurance adjuster license within 90 days and designated number of attempts.
- Ability to pass required exams to serve as a panelist in arbitrations for Automobile, Medical Pay, or Personal Injury Protection (PIP) claims within 90 days (which requires 3 years claims adjusting experience).
- Advanced knowledge of common law, contract and negligence laws.
- Ability to confidently resolve issues and negotiate fair settlements.
- Strong written communication skills with excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
