Job Details Job Details: We are in search of a dynamic and results-driven Permanent Audit Manager to join our Accounting + Finance team.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to take charge of our audit department, ensuring that our financial operations and controls meet standards and are error-free.
Our Audit Manager will be responsible for organizing and managing internal audits according to audit plans, presenting objective reports to top management, and recommending changes when necessary.
Responsibilities: As an Audit Manager, you will: 1.
Plan, organize, and manage internal audits according to the annual audit plan, including fieldwork, audit reports, and follow-up audits.
2.
Evaluate the efficacy of risk management procedures that are currently in place.
3.
Protect against fraud and theft of the organization's assets.
4.
Ensure that the organization is complying with relevant laws and statutes.
5.
Make recommendations on how to improve internal controls and governance processes.
6.
Supervise and coach junior staff auditors.
7.
Maintain open communication with management and the audit committee.
8.
Assess ongoing processes and systems, and implement improvements.
9.
Prepare timely audit reports for executive management, the audit committee, and the board of directors.
10.
Keep up-to-date on audit procedures and regulations by attending conferences, workshops, and continuing education seminars.
11.
Participate in industry organizations and develop a professional network.
Qualifications: The ideal candidate for the Audit Manager position will have the following qualifications: 1.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
A Master's degree is preferred.
2.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) certification is required.
3.
A minimum of 5 years of experience in auditing, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
4.
Strong understanding of the standards of the Institute of Internal Auditors (IIA) and ability to fully comply with IIA standards.
5.
Strong computer skills with knowledge in audit software and Microsoft Office Suite.
6.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
7.
Exceptional detail-oriented and analytical problem-solving skills.
8.
Strong time management and organizational skills.
9.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
10.
High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results-orientation.
11.
Experience with a variety of industries and businesses is a plus.
