Sommer Rehabilitation Unit, and the Shoals Senior Care Center, the Shoals’ only psychiatric unit dedicated to our senior adults.

How you’ll contribute:
The Program Director is responsible for the overall administration, planning, development, and financial operations of the rehabilitation program, ensuring quality patient care and adherence to regulatory standards.
Essential Functions
- Oversee the operations of the inpatient rehabilitation program including clinical, financial, and administrative performance.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient care and compliance with treatment standards.
- Develop and manage departmental budgets, goals, and strategic plans.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and accrediting agencies.
- Supervise and develop staff; provide ongoing training and support.
- Analyze performance metrics and implement quality improvement initiatives.
- Represent the rehab program in internal and external meetings.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Additional Information
- Demonstrated leadership, communication, and strategic planning skills required.
- Experience in inpatient rehab management preferred.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in a clinical discipline or healthcare management required; Master’s preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3 years in rehab leadership or administration.
- License: Valid clinical license as applicable by state.

Basic Life Support certification
ACLS/PALS is required within six months of hire.

Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery- Full Time - Nights
Provides direct patient care to patients using the nursing process in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice. Reports to the Director or Manager of Department.
Essential Functions
- Performs plan of care interventions, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care activities.
- Documents patient care provided.
- Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition to care team, physician, patient, and family.
- Assists patients with activities of daily living, including personal hygiene, elimination, nutrition, and ambulation.
- Collaborates across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including transfer, discharge, referral, and psychosocial/spiritual support needs.
- Evaluates learning needs of patient and/or family and provides education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.
- Advocates for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
- Participates in performance improvement and continuing education.
- Provides quality patient care and works flexible shifts or units as needed.
- Maintains regular and reliable attendance.

Contribute to nursing assessments and care planning.
Administer medications and performs treatments per physician orders.
Supervise and monitor patient care provided by unlicensed staff. Qualifications: Must be a graduate of an approved school for practical or vocational nursing.
Must be currently licensed by the State Board of Nursing or pending licensed practical nurse licensure.
