We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our collaborative Family Medicine team in Plainfield, CT, where you can grow professionally while managing your own patient panel. You’ll work alongside 2 physicians and 2 APPs, with a dedicated MA per provider and a nursing team of three, and benefit from two nearby offices for easy coverage and work-life balance. Nurse Practitioners and Physician Assistants Role Scope:

The Backus Hospital Emergency Department is a 42 bed unit which is responsible for treating a wide variety of patients in a fast-paced, ever evolving environment. • Graduate of a school of Nursing. BSN preferred
• One (1) year RN experience ; two (2) or more years of acute care experience in this clinical area preferred.
• Current unrestricted license in good standing to practice as a Registered Nurse in the State of Connecticut.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) upon hire.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification or obtained within 90 days of hire
• Pediatric Life Support (PALS) Certification or obtained within 90 days of hire
• Ability to obtain and maintain department specific certifications. Certified Registered Nurse of Infusion and/or Oncology Certified Nurse (OCN) preferred.
