Well established and growing orthopedic multi-specialty private (physician-owned) practice in Northern New Jersey is seeking a part-time Rheumatologist to join our team

Union County Orthopaedic Group, located in Northern New Jersey, is a 30-minute direct train ride into downtown Manhattan, and a 20-minute local drive to some of the most desirable residential suburbs in the New York City metropolitan area. We have been serving our community for over 50 years, and we currently have 3 locations, in Clark, NJ, Linden, NJ and Union, NJ; all 3 are fully equipped with X-Ray, DME, and our Linden office offers On-site phlebotomist to draw labs for rheumatological care.
In 2023, we opened our physical therapy clinic in Union, NJ, and this summer we just opened our other physical therapy in Clark, NJ. Union County Orthopaedic Group is composed of 7 orthopedic surgeons, 2 PMR physicians and a podiatrist. Our talented team also includes 5 PAs and 1 NP. We are also one of the founding divisions of OrthoNJ, the largest orthopedic private practice in New Jersey. This opportunity allows for an incoming doctor to receive a large patient base of referrals to be able to successfully grow a Rheumatology practice at Union County Orthopaedic Group.

The Registered Nurse functions as a caregiver for a specific patient population in order to achieve desired outcomes. Initiates interventions related to patient's change in condition and unexpected response to care.
Must acquire and maintain competencies, certifications and continuing education in order to meet any facility accreditation or individual licensing requirements.
Adheres to American Nurses Association Code for Nurses with Interpretive Statements.

Must have six (6) or more months of relevant nursing experience OR must be an active participant with Hackensack Meridian Health's Nurse Residency Program.

About the Program
Northwell Health’s Epilepsy program currently has two hospitals with Level 4 NAEC center accreditations (North Shore University Hospital and Lenox Hill Hospital) and two hospitals with Level 3 NAEC center accreditations (South Shore University Hospital and Staten Island University Hospital).
The Department of Neurology has seen tremendous growth over the past five years across all regions, with the goal of providing comprehensive, integrated health care and wellness services. Inclusion within the service line offers the opportunity to connect with a large group of neurologists, academic, teaching, world class grand rounds, conferences and the ability to discuss and share cases with experts in every subspecialty. At Northwell Health’s Institute for Neurology , we have three hospitals ranked in the top 50 in U.S News & World Report (North Shore University Hospital being the highest at #22 in the nation) as well as four comprehensive stroke programs, 11 primary stroke centers and 1 thrombectomy capable center.
Position Highlights
Our interdisciplinary team of nationally recognized experts consists of specialty-trained epilepsy neurologists and epileptologists, neurosurgeons, nurses and nurse practitioners, psychologists, social workers and electroencephalogram (EEG) technicians. We use the most advanced treatments available for evaluating epilepsy, preventing seizures and treating comorbidities affecting individuals with epilepsy. The Department of Neurology brings together the vast resources of Northwell Health and the Donald and Barbara Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell to provide state-of-the-art care while contributing to research initiatives. In addition , there are no g eneral neurolo gy expectations for this role.
Candidate Qualifications:
The successful candidate will ideally possess the following qualifications and experience:
- D. Degree from an accredited institution (ACGME or equivalent)
- Completion of Neurology Residency and Epilepsy Fellowship.
- Must be Board Certified/Board Eligible in Neurology and Epilepsy
- Must be licensed or eligible to be licensed as a physician in the State of New York
