Job Description

  • Supports IT strategic initiatives for clinical, business, and operational systems in a cost-effective, high-quality manner. Responsible for application planning, design, and architecture to ensure highly reliable, integrated systems. Provides application expertise and resources required for ongoing operational improvements, implementations, and support.
  • Ensures the successful installation, utilization, and ongoing support of software across organizational initiatives.

Knowledge / Experience

  • 5–10 years of experience in a healthcare applications role supporting clinical, financial, and/or regulatory systems, including selection, implementation, and lifecycle support.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of healthcare application vendors and products required.
  • Strong experience in strategic information systems planning and implementation required.
  • Experience supporting information system business and/or clinical workflows across acute, sub-acute, outpatient, and clinic environments required.


Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Healthcare, or a related field required. Master’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities:


Administrative Duties and Responsibility:

  • Work collaboratively with the Regional Medical Director in developing and implementing programs, policies and procedures that fosters collegiality and professional development/growth among the medical staff (physicians and non-physician providers) within the assigned skilled nursing facilities.
  • Provide leadership to the members of the medical staff team.
  • Serve as the Medical Director for assigned facilities.
  • Work collaboratively with Executive Directors/Directors of Nursing to develop and implement policies and programs that improve the quality of care in skilled nursing homes.


Clinical Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Examine patients to obtain information about their physical condition.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic test results.
  • Applies clinical knowledge, and evidence/science-based medicine guidelines to evaluate, diagnose, and provide treatment plans for a variety of clinical ailments within the scope of independent practice, including prescribing and referring patients as appropriate.
  • Obtain, compile and record patient medical data, including health history, progress notes and results of physical examination.
  • Administer or order diagnostic tests, such as x-ray, electrocardiogram, and laboratory tests.
  • Prescribe therapy or medication.
  • Instruct and educate patients about prescribed therapeutic regimens, emotional problems of daily living, and health maintenance.
  • Order medical and laboratory supplies and equipment.
  • Documentation using EMR must be completed in a timely manner, labs signed the day received and paperwork signed.


Qualification Requirements:

  • Must be a U.S. citizen or hold an appropriate Visa to apply.
  • Must be eligible for or hold an unrestricted license in the state you choose to practice in.
