- Assess, interpret, plan, monitor, and document the nutritional status and nutritional needs of patients using evidence-based standards of care, policies and practice guidelines. Perform a nutrition-focused physical exam on patients. Identify and provide age-specific nutrition care and meet the cultural needs of the patients and their families. Work within an inter-disciplinary team to provide a plan of care to achieve the patient’s health goals.
- Educate patients, care givers, students, and other health care colleagues on the effect of therapeutic diets and nutrition support to maintain/improve nutritional status.
- When assigned, provide support and supervision to the daily infant formula preparation routine which includes identifying and calculating recipes to individualize the formula to meet nutritional needs of the infant.

ENERAL PATIENT CARE - Meets the comfort and hygiene needs of the patient.

What you'll do
- Performs and demonstrates competence in ultrasonic scanning procedures by producing, assessing and evaluating ultrasound images and related data that are used by physicians to render a medical diagnosis.
- Recognizing, identifying and appropriately documenting normal anatomy, abnormalities, disease, pathology and pathophysiology for accurate medical diagnosis.
- Performing all types of ultrasound procedures and services, in accordance with department protocol, to ensure appropriate patient care for patients in all age categories (neonatal, pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric).
- Completing ultrasonic scans within given procedure time parameters when performing ultrasonic scans so as to expedite patient care.

- Associate Degree; graduate from an accredited two-year Ultrasound Program, required; OR equivalent training acquired via work experience

Provides direct and indirect patient care in the Medical and Surgical area. Is responsible and accountable for the delivery of patient care during the patient stay. Effectively communicates pertinent patient changes/conditions to co-workers and to multidisciplinary caregivers. Delegates and supervises patient care activities within the scope of practice of the healthcare worker to meet the patient care needs for the above-indicated population.
Identifies and acts to solve problems, supports process improvement teams, which influence customer satisfaction clinical outcomes and financial stability.
Documents patient information in the electronic/paper medical record, at the bedside and as soon as possible, in an accurate, timely manner.

Minimum Qualifications:
Graduate of a program in professional nursing.
Current RN licensure in the State of Iowa required.
Completes Introduction to Telemetry class or equivalent within 3 months of hire.

Ability to work flexible hours.
