Outstanding Opportunity :

• ACS Designation: Level I Adult Trauma, Level III NICU Facility
• Comprehensive Stroke Center
• 20 daily cases (average)
• Types of cases include but are not limited to: hand, skin care, trauma, breast reconstruction, and cosmetic
• Typically, 10 rooms in the general OR inclusive of one hybrid room
• Currently, 90% of total cases are adults with less than 10% pediatric cases predominantly in trauma
• Typical work week varies dependent upon schedule; Mondays are surgery days; Tuesdays through Fridays are clinic days (8a - 5p)
• Call: 2 weeks per month
• Support Team: Nurse Practitioner and will add a Medical Assistant depending on volume
• Full sub-specialty support and looking for a candidate that is willing to build a practice with multiple procedures with very little limitations.

This is an opportunity to practice at a Level I Trauma Center with a diverse, high-acuity case mix including trauma, high-risk OB, and orthopedic surgery, while enjoying a predictable weekday schedule with competitive compensation and strong administrative support.

Opportunity Overview:

• Full-time employment at Mercyhealth Javon Bea Hospital - Riverside, a 195-bed, Level I Trauma Center
• Standard schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 a.m.-3:00 p.m.
• In-house 24-hour call rotation: roughly 1:2.7 days (one weeknight/week and 1-2 weekends/month)
  • Weeknight in-house call: 3:00 p.m.-7:00 a.m. following an 8-hour shift
  • Coverage: trauma or OB
  • Post-call day off for in-house coverage
• Pager call rotation: 2nd, 3rd, and 4th calls with ~20-minute response time
• Moderate call volume
• EPIC EMR

Departmental Scope:

• Provide anesthesia for trauma, high-risk OB (Level III Perinatal Center), orthopedic, and general surgical procedures
• 14 operating rooms, all-hands-on trauma cases
• Comprehensive Stroke Center support
• Collaboration with MDs, CRNAs (primarily for endoscopy suite), surgeons, and multidisciplinary teams
• Participation in quality improvement initiatives and multidisciplinary care planning

Required Skills & Experience:

• MD/DO, board-certified or board-eligible in Anesthesiology
• Recent, well-rounded trauma experience required
• Regional and OB anesthesia experience required
• Ability to provide high-quality anesthesia in a high-acuity, multidisciplinary setting
• Excellent teamwork, communication, and patient-centered approach

Job Description

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Performs a variety of engineering assignments in developing and implementing production/processing methods and controls to meet quality standards in the most cost-efficient manner.

Troubleshoot manufacturing issues resolving tooling and production process problems while optimizing efficiency and eliminating downtime.

Evaluates process flow and plant layout recommending and implementing improvements and/or modifications in sequence of operations and equipment utilization in order to improve thru-put, reduce labor/manufacturing costs and improve safety.

Develops costs for test production data; prepares technical analysis, recommends production methods and processes required to meet design objectives.

Reviews proposals of outside vendors regarding the purchase of new or modernized production/processing equipment and monitors equipment upgrades and improvements.

Continuously monitors operations to ensure compliance with approved methods and quality standards.

Coordinates and develops manufacturing schedules for projects.

Develops the PFMEA’s control plans and schedules.

Performs line validation and trial run management.

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:

Strong technical and analytical ability.

Project management and organizational skills preferred.

Manufacturing experience in lean and cell manufacturing, process improvement, and equipment development, equipment buy offs, direct equipment installations, daily support, and debug.

Experience working with customers and sales preferred.

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
