We are seeking a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner to join our growing Urology team.
Location- Moorestown and Salem New Jersey.
This position is strictly out patient with no weekends, no call and no operating room duties. If you are seeking OR time do not hesitate to apply. It may be able to be a possibility.

Duties
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments to evaluate health status and needs.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans for patients, particularly in geriatrics and senior care.
- Provide urgent care services as needed, ensuring timely intervention for acute health issues.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient care and optimize treatment strategies.
- Utilize electronic health record systems such as Cerner for documentation and patient management.
- Educate patients and their families on disease prevention, health maintenance, and treatment options.
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary, focusing on infection control and chronic disease management.
- Participate in hospice palliative medicine initiatives to support patients with serious illnesses.
Qualifications
- Master?s degree in Nursing or related field with a focus on Nurse Practitioner training.
- Current Nurse Practitioner certification and state licensure.
- Experience in geriatrics, urgent care, or senior care preferred.
- Proficient in using electronic medical records systems (Cerner experience is a plus).
- Strong skills in patient assessment and management of chronic conditions.
- Knowledge of durable medical equipment (DME) protocols is advantageous.
- Excellent communication skills with a compassionate approach to patient care.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a healthcare team while maintaining a high standard of professionalism.

Job Description: Advanced Practice Provider (APP), Cooper University Health Care- FULL TIME - Critical Care
- The Advanced Practice Provider (APP) is licensed, registered and has completed specialized graduate or doctoral education, and is nationally certified to provide health and medical care for diverse populations in a variety of settings.
Advanced Practice Provider (APP) Functions
- The Advanced Practice Nurse will function within the scope of practice as defined by the state nurses practice act, delineation of privileges set forth by the practice setting and the American Nurses? Association Code of Ethics. The advanced practice nurse utilizes the scientific process and national standards of care as a framework for managing patient care.
- The Physician Assistant will function within the scope of practice as defined by the supervising physician
- As licensed independent providers, APPs practice autonomously and/or in consultation with a collaborating/supervising physician and other health care professionals to assess, diagnose, treat and manage patients? health problems/needs.
- The APP will perform a patient history and physical examination to determine a working differential diagnosis and develop an individualized plan of care.
- Services include, but are not limited to ordering, performing, supervising, and interpreting diagnostic and laboratory tests, and prescription of pharmacologic agents and non-pharmacologic therapies.
- The APP may provide therapeutic measures as appropriate and provide teaching, education and counseling to individuals, families and groups.
- For uncommon or unstable conditions, the APP will formulate diagnoses in consultation with his/her collaborating/supervising physician and either refer to a specialist or participate in the dual management and treatment with his/her collaborating/supervising physician.
- In addition to diagnosing and managing acute and chronic illnesses, APPs will emphasize health promotion and disease prevention
- APPs will serve as health care researchers, professional educators, interdisciplinary consultants and patient advocates.
Prescribing Medications
- Prescriptions may be provided by the APP, where clinically indicated, and shall be in accordance with the current APP prescribing guidelines and in accordance with state and federal law. Proper documentation of medications prescribed, and refills authorized, will be reflected in the patient?s chart.
Experience Required
Looking for APP (Acute care certified APN only or PA) to work in collaboration with Cooper intensivists to manage intensive care patients. Ideal candidate will have experience in critical care and/or hospital medicine and ideally have experience with POCUS and performing procedures such as intubation, central lines, arterial lines etc. New graduates will be considered but would need to be highly motivated to learn and seek out independent opportunities in addition to work related orientation to become autonomous in role.
Education Requirements
Master's degree in Nursing - Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant - board certification.
License/Certification Requirements
New Jersey license for Advanced Nurse Practitioner & Registered Nurse or Physician Assistant
- For Nurse practitioners, must be acute care certified; PA NCCPA
