Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and manage adult neurology patients in an outpatient setting
  • Collaborate with physicians and other APPs on complex patient cases
  • Conduct thorough neurological assessments and formulate care plans
  • Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatment options, and health management
  • Prescribe medications and monitor ongoing treatment effectiveness
  • Document patient encounters accurately and promptly in the EMR
  • Participate in and perform in-office neurology procedures, including:
  • Botox injections (e.g., for migraines, spasticity, dystonia)
  • Trigger point and occipital nerve blocks
  • Carpal tunnel injections
  • Exposure to deep brain stimulation programming for Parkinson?s and tremor
  • Attend continuing education sessions and actively engage in clinical learning
  • Provide occasional general support for broader practice needs

Qualifications & RequirementsRequired:

  • Active Arizona licensure as a Nurse Practitioner (FNP, AGNP, or ACNP) or Physician Assistant
  • Current DEA registration
  • Willingness to work full-time on-site in Ahwatukee

Preferred:

  • Prior experience in neurology (not required)
  • Clinical background in primary care, cardiology, or other adult-focused specialties
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and critical thinking skills
  • Strong interest in building long-term clinical relationships and procedural skills
