Hospital in Kansas City is seeking a full time BE/BC Hematologist-Oncologist who is fellowship trained in blood and marrow transplantation (BMT) to join the Cancer Institute. The ideal candidate would have a minimum of 3 years of experience in autologous and allogeneic transplantation, as well as cellular therapy. Our program features a multidisciplinary cancer program that is anchored by four accredited hospitals and complemented by numerous cancer care outreach sites located in communities throughout Kansas City.

Job Summary and QualificationsUnder the general direction of the Director/Supervisor or designee, performs diagnostic and therapeutic procedures ordered by a physician. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES

STAFF:

EDUCATION AND REQUIRED CREDENTIALS:

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS:

AdventHealth Kansas City is searching for a highly skilled and patient-focused BC/BE neurohospitalist to add to its busy existing group. Our physicians provide a full range of neurology care – specializing in neurologic consultations, electromyography, and Botox for chronic migraine management.
1 in 2 call rotation shared with our other hospitalist (2 other neurologists in the group are available to take call from time to time if needed)
24hr call (inpatient and cover outpatient clinic call at night)
Friday 7am – Friday 7am
EMR – Epic
10-15 daily inpatients
Average of 1-2 evening calls a week that includes outpatient clinic evening call

Base Salary (determined by the number of 24hr shifts worked annually)

Requirements include:
– Doctor of medicine or doctor of osteopathy degree from an accredited U.S. school of medicine or osteopathy; foreign graduates may apply if they have a permanent certificate from the Educational Council of Foreign Medical Graduates
– Current license to practice medicine in the United States, District of Columbia or Puerto Rico
– Eligibility for board certification
– Completion of at least one year of an approved Graduate Medical Education (GME) internship
– Completion of a training program in emergency medicine
– Between 21 and 42 years of age
