POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
Identifies and enrolls indigent and under-insured patients into drug assistance reimbursement programs which provide drug replacement and reimbursement compensation. Monitors continued eligibility status and documents drug shipments received in computerized tracking system. Serves as a resource in facilitating resolution of insurance denial referrals. Communicates effectively with pharmacy, hospital administration, medical staff, patients and personnel in the patient assistance programs using verbal and written interpersonal communication skills. Requires ability to work independently and coordinate assigned projects efficiently. Effectively utilizes problem solving ability, significant interpersonal contact and concentration abilities, analytical skills and in depth knowledge of computer software. Coordinates all information regarding patients enrolled in assistance programs for drug therapies using various computer software programs. Creates, expand and maintains computerized databases to support patient enrollment in assistance programs and tracks case specific assistance provided in response to reimbursement denials. Conducts patient interviews and conveys reimbursement denial potential to patient and medical staff. Reviews all outpatient 3rd party rejections and assists the patient in resolving the problem. Coordinates 3rd party billing, problems with eligibility, rejections, etc with the Outpatient Pharmacy Supervisor and the Pharmacy Billing Section.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Texas State Board of Pharmacy registration required. National Certification as a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) is recommended. Three years experience in a medical or pharmacology related field to include project coordination; database/spreadsheet development and management; and/or application programming; processing and overseeing medical insurance billing and reimbursement cost capture is preferred. POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES
The Ambulatory Clinical Staff Pharmacist I oversees and directly contributes to the verification, preparation and dispensing of prescription orders for all ambulatory patients in accordance with all regulatory agencies, including but not limited to The Joint Commission (TJC), Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Medicare/Medicaid standards and Texas State Board of Pharmacy Rules and Regulations. Activities include prescription order review and verification, counseling and educating patients on medication treatment and disease states, providing needed immunizations to members of the community, and is responsible for supervising the activity of pharmacy technician. The ambulatory clinical staff pharmacist will continually strive to provide world-class service while assuring our patients receive their prescribed medications.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
A PharmD. degree or a Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy from an ACPE-accredited School of Pharmacy is required. Completion of an ASHP-accredited Postgraduate Year One (PGY1) Community Pharmacy Residency or equivalent experience (3 years in community pharmacy) preferred.
LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION
Current Pharmacy and Pharmacy Preceptor licensure, or eligibility for licensure, in the state of Texas is required. Current pharmacy-based immunization certification, if applicable to position, is required.

POSITION SUMMARY/RESPONSIBILITIES:

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
Graduation from high school/GED required. Bachelor's degree preferred. Five years of pharmacy experience required. Some coursework at the college level is preferred. Two years of CT experience is required. Must meet and maintain the clinical ladder requirements for this specialty.

Functions proficiently in all technical aspects of the Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory. Assists the cardiology team in performing diagnostic and interventional cardiac catheterizations and other related procedures. Performs a variety of duties including operation of radiographic equipment and imaging equipment, electrophysiologic and hemodynamic recorder and computer.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
A high school diploma is required. An associate's degree in cardiovascular technology or completion of a program for radiology technology is required. Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) is preferred.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION
Registered Cardiovascular Invasive Specialist (RCIS) or ARRT by recognized credential body is required. For the Adult Cath Lab technologists - Current BLS and ACLS certification is required. RCIS is preferred. For the Pediatric Cath Lab technologists - Current BLS, ACLS and PALS certification is required. ACLS must be obtained within 30 days of hire. RCIS is preferred.
