Details Work in a Cardiovascular ICU (CVICU) setting Night shifts, 3x12 hours from 19:00 to 07:00 Patient ratio is 1:2 with a census of approximately 7 patients and a 10-bed unit Required to float to cardiac stepdown and units of equal or lesser acuity Epic EMR is used; experience preferred Must have experience with ECMO, intra-aortic balloon pump, and continuous IV sedation Requirements Active TX or compact RN license required at time of consideration Current ACLS and BLS certifications required Minimum of 2 years of recent CVICU experience required Previous travel nursing experience required Experience with Epic documentation is preferred Proficient in interpretation of dysrhythmias and ABGs, multi-system organ failure, cardiac drips, arterial and central line management, Swan-Ganz, PICC, ventilator care, and titration of vasoactive drips Additional Information Must be able to float to cardiac stepdown and equivalent or lower acuity units as needed Dark gray scrubs are required No local candidates accepted from within 50 miles or from specified counties Former permanent staff must be separated from employment for at least 1 year before returning as a traveler No travel pairs or groups will be considered No more than 3 days of requested time off will be approved, and no time off is permitted during the first week of orientation American Traveler Job ID P-674252.
