Responsibilities
In keeping with the Dignity Health mission and standards the Physician Assistant - First Assist reports to the Director of Perioperative Services. Directly partners with surgeon intraoperatively and assists with patient positioning. Directs and manages surgical team members while practicing perioperative nursing. Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
- Two (2) year intraoperative experience in assisting the surgeon in the OR
- Must have graduated from a program of instruction for Physical Assistants recognized and approved by the California Regulatory Board and approved by the California Regulatory Board of Physician Assistants
- NCCPA Certification and maintain of the NCCPA certification is required in accordance with the NCPPA requirement of being recertified in the fifth (5th) or sixth (6th) year maintenance s cylce
