THE POSITION:

Our clinic hours are Monday through Friday, 8-4:30 with no required On Call coverage, evenings, weekends, or holidays.
Position Responsibilities Include:
- Perform comprehensive medical examinations
- Acquire and review patient histories identifying abnormal conditions
- Issue appropriate prescriptions and administer medications
- Inform physicians about any problems or discrepancies that may arise
- Monitor patients? progress and keep records of treatments, surgeries and other medical events
- Prepare patients for examinations and conduct routine procedures (measure blood pressure and temperature, administer injections etc)
- Provide therapeutic treatments (disinfecting wounds, stitching etc.)
- Attend to emergencies
- Cardiac Stress Testing
- Cultivate a climate of trust and compassion for the patients
- Comply strictly with medical care regulations and safety standards
- Collaborate effectively with team members of various specializations
- Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals and medical facilities
Requirements/Qualifications:
- Candidates must be board certified as a Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner and possess or be eligible to obtain an applicable New York State license
- Ideal candidates will have a minimum of 2-years experience, although well qualified individuals with clinical experience in a cardiology setting will be considered and are encouraged to apply
- Knowledge of medical guidelines and procedures regarding examinations, therapy, and recovery
- Must possess excellent communication and leadership skills while demonstrating the ability to work as part of a team

Duties
