Job Overview

The Manager, Starbucks is responsible for the overall operation and performance of the licensed Starbucks café inside Macy’s. The Manager ensures an efficient, professional, safe, and profitable business while upholding Starbucks brand standards and Macy’s Foods Division expectations. The Manager oversees daily operations, drives sales and profitability, and fosters a positive, inclusive team culture. Through strong leadership, operational excellence, and partnership with both Starbucks and Macy’s leadership, the Manager delivers an exceptional customer experience and ensures the café consistently meets brand, quality, and financial goals.

What You Will Do

• Oversee all aspects of café operations, ensuring a safe, efficient, and brand-right environment that meets Starbucks, Macy’s Foods Division, and Health Department standards.
• Recruit, hire, train, and develop Supervisors and Baristas, building a motivated and high-performing team.
• Deliver exceptional customer service by modeling Starbucks customer connection standards and Macy’s service expectations.
• Ensure consistent preparation, presentation, and merchandising of all food and beverage products in alignment with Starbucks standards.
• Develop and execute schedules and labor plans that optimize productivity, control costs, and maintain excellent service levels.
• Manage ordering, receiving, inventory, and invoice processing to achieve targeted food and beverage costs and stay within budget.
• Review financial reports and take appropriate action to meet sales, expense, and profit goals.
• Ensure full compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health regulations while maintaining a clean and organized café environment.
• Oversee cash handling, point-of-sale operations, and adherence to all financial policies and procedures.
• Build strong partnerships with Macy’s leadership and Starbucks District Managers to align on strategy, goals, and operational priorities.
• Serve as a role model in professionalism, appearance, communication, and alignment with company values.
• Foster an environment of acceptance and respect that strengthens relationships, and ensures authentic connections with colleagues, customers, and communities.

Who You Are

• Candidates with a High School diploma or equivalent and 2+ years of retail, restaurant, or food service management experience are encouraged to apply. Starbucks or Starbucks licensed café experience preferred.
• Must be ServSafe certified or have food handler permit as required by state or local health department.
• Must be able to successfully obtain Barista Basics, Barista Trainer, Daily Ops, and LS Leader certifications for Starbucks Licensed leaders within introductory period.
• This position requires heavy lifting, constant moving, remaining in a stationary position, and reaching with arms and hands. Involves remaining in a stationary position for at least two consecutive hours, lifting at least 30 lbs. stooping, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders. May involve reaching above eye level. Requires close vision, color vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
• Able to work a flexible schedule, including days, evenings, weekends, and holidays, based on department and company needs.

Job Summary

The Kitchen Manager is responsible for overseeing the Production and Service Teams working out of the Production Kitchen, including the Dough Supervisor as well as Production Supervisors/Leads. Their role is crucial in terms of motivating and training the staff to execute service, prep and dough tasks. They are responsible for sourcing and ordering an appropriate amount of goods and materials, ensuring the team is prepared to roll out new products, executing service and following up on quality control issues, as well as being a liaison between the Head of Culinary Production/Commissary Production Manager and the Team Members and to help communicate changes effectively. 

Duties and responsibilities

Inventory, Ordering & Receiving

• Keeping all dry, refrigerated and packaging goods organized and maintain an appropriate quantity on hand.
• Planning ahead to place orders for upcoming new products as well as continued regular products. Place orders with multiple vendors. React to out-of-stock and delayed order issues.
• Conduct daily inventory of prepared items such as glazes, fillings and toppings as well as “freezer inventory” to confirm dough on hand.
• Receive, check in and organize deliveries along with delegating team to assist.
• Oversee organization of weekly “transport” deliveries to shops.

Teaching & Coaching

• Instruct team on efficiently and effectively executing products. Follow up with each team member to coach on best practices.
• Train new employees on policies and procedures and engage them as a part of the team.
• Mediate staff disagreements, follow up with disciplinary action if necessary.
• Uphold all sanitary standards and instruct all team members on best practices and standards. 

Admin

• Schedule production team members and drivers 3 weeks in advance using designated scheduling app.
• Maintain “When I Work” with updated pay rates, availabilities, time off requests, new employees.
• Lead weekly meetings with production and service teams
• Keep recipes accurate, up to date and organized.
• Create prep lists for service team for upcoming days.
• Create cleaning lists for staff.

Service

• Expedite donut service, ensuring correct product is packaged for each shop and/or customer.
• Act as the first point of contact for any physical plant issues, including sanitation or pest concerns, equipment maintenance, building issues, etc. Report all issues in a timely manner to the Commissary Operations manager.  
• Monitor sanitation log.
• Ensure timely delivery of products to shops by ensuring drivers stay on schedule.

Working conditions

• Non-standard work week, including early mornings, weekends and federal holidays.
• Standing on feet for 8-10 hours at a time.
• Lifting up to 50lbs.

Requirements

• Must be able to communicate fluently in both Spanish and English 
• Must be Servsafe Manager certified or be willing to gain certification within 30 days of date of hire.

Job Title: Cloud Automation Engineer

We are seeking an AWS-focused engineer to build and operate a cloud analytics and dashboard layer for device and fleet data. Data lands in S3 and is queried primarily through Amazon Athena. You will own the end-to-end delivery of reliable datasets, SQL queries, and visualization dashboards used by engineering and operations teams. This role requires strong execution in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment, with a high bar for quality, operational excellence, and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Own dashboard and analytics deliverables end-to-end (design → build → test → release → operate).
• Build and maintain Amazon Athena SQL queries, views, and datasets that support filtering, drill-down analysis, and repeatable reporting.
• Develop and enhance dashboards using QuickSight and/or CloudWatch dashboards (or equivalent AWS-native visualization tooling).
• Define metrics/KPIs with stakeholders and translate requirements into clear, actionable visualizations.
• Improve cost and performance of analytics workflows (partition strategies, query optimization, efficient formats, and operational guardrails).
• Drive data quality and correctness: detect schema changes, missing partitions, late data, and regressions; write RCAs and implement durable fixes.
• Implement mechanisms that scale (dashboards as mechanisms, SLIs/SLOs where applicable, alarms, runbooks, and automated checks).
• Collaborate cross-functionally with teams responsible for ingestion/ETL; contribute to ETL as a plus (Lambda, Step Functions, scheduling).

Essential Skills

• 4+ years of relevant experience delivering dashboards and analytics solutions in AWS.
