Candidates should have expertise with filing, obtaining and preparing pleadings in all state and federal courts in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, scheduling and coordinating depositions, interacting with clients and witnesses, preparing, reviewing, analyzing and serving subpoenas and other discovery. Duties Responsibilities


Prepare and file pleadings, discovery requests/responses, and other legal documents

Assist attorneys with discovery, trial preparation, filings, and case management

Manage case calendars, deadlines, and client communications

Organize and maintain case files (electronic) including recording and monitoring court appearances, pleading and filing deadlines

Record and monitor court appearance dates, pleadings and filing deadlines

Coordinate with courts, clients, and opposing counsel

Understand and maintain client confidence by keeping client/attorney information confidential

Conduct factual investigation and research as needed


Qualifications


Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a paralegal in Pennsylvania civil litigation (civil defense experience preferred)

Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

Ability to prioritize deadlines and manage varied tasks

Ability to perform authorized billable paralegal tasks such as review and summary of discovery and to contemporaneously and accurately enter/track time spent on such tasks

Ability to work collaboratively with attorneys and staff

Proficiency with Microsoft Office and case management software

Strong written and verbal communication skills
