Job Summary
The Chief Legal/Risk Officer (CLRO) reports to the Chief Executive Officer and is responsible to provide legal guidance, oversee all legal functions of the organization, and serve as risk manager. The CLRO is a member of senior leadership and participates in overall leadership responsibilities. The CLRO also serves as Privacy Officer and provides oversight of the Medical Records Department. The CLRO will assist with corporate strategic initiatives and provide senior leadership with effective advice on these strategies and their implementation.
Legal Responsibilities:
Provide legal advice to the organization through its Board, CEO, Senior Leadership, Medical Staff and other stakeholders.
- Participate in organizational strategic planning and provide legal advice regarding potential liabilities or other risks associated with operations, new business ventures and projects.
- Review and, as necessary, draft and update hospital policies and procedures -- especially those related to Safety, Risk Management and Human Resources – to ensure that they are legally sound and enforceable.
- Manage litigation and administrative actions by representing the hospital in legal matters such as mediations; selecting and overseeing legal counsel; and developing and implementing legal strategies to address and, when appropriate, resolve legal disputes.
- Review, draft, negotiate and manage contracts.
- Review and update Hospital Governing Body and Medical Staff Bylaws and other governance documents.
- Review and provide legal guidance as necessary regarding employment matters.
- Review legal developments, including legislation and regulations, and provide updates to Senior Leadership, Board of Directors and staff as necessary.
- Develop and maintain relationships with local, state and federal authorities, including payers, regulatory agencies, criminal justice agencies, law enforcement, the coroner’s office, and the judiciary.
- Advise and collaborate with the Medical Staff, physicians, psychiatrists and providers.
- Educate staff on their legal responsibilities to the organization and its patients.
- Serve as Administrator on Call in a regular rotation schedule.
Risk Management Responsibilities:
- Serve as Risk Manager and Designated Accident and Illness Prevention Program Coordinator.
- Prepare an annual organizational risk assessment with action steps to manage identified concerns and review outcomes.
- Oversee the insurance renewal process and manage the organization’s insurance portfolio.
- Review and Investigate incidents, initiate actions to address risk concerns and report to the insurance company if necessary.
- Manage outside counsel involved in litigation and administrative claims.
- Investigate workplace injuries and manage Workers Compensation litigation cases.
Privacy Responsibilities:
- Serve as Privacy Officer.
- Provide guidance to the organization and staff regarding privacy issues and assist the organization in maintaining compliance with privacy laws and regulations.
- Draft confidentiality agreements and non-disclosure agreements to protect confidential information.
- Collaborate with other departments including, but not limited to: Medical Records regarding release of information requests and Information Security to preserve confidentiality.
- Manage the breach notification process.
Other Duties and Responsibilities:
- Complete all required trainings.
- Comply with current Hospital Safety and Infection Control policies.
- Perform special assignments and other duties as assigned by the CEO.
Education:
- Juris Doctor degree from an accredited institution
- Bachelor’s degree
Experience:
- Must be a member in good standing of the Pennsylvania Bar.
- Must have at least 10 years of experience as a practicing attorney.
- In-house experience at a hospital or behavioral health organization preferred.

The Associate Scientist will primarily engage in analytical development, assay qualification/validation, and analytical testing for cell and gene therapy products.
Position Summary:
- Collaborate effectively with a dynamic team of scientists and multidisciplinary groups involved in the production and analytical testing of cell and gene therapy products.
- Independently perform PCR-based assays, including ddPCR, qPCR, and RT-qPCR, for applications such as genomic titer, residual DNA, and related QC release testing as assigned
- Perform laboratory tasks for assay development, qualification/validation, and sample testing of cell and gene therapy products.
- Familiarize with various assays conducted by the team and learn to execute them in GLP/GMP environments.

JOB SUMMARY:
The Asset Manager will be responsible the creation and implementation of specific strategies to maximize the value of a portfolio of properties owned by the firm. The individual will direct the firm’s leasing, operations, and construction teams to ensure each asset’s optimal value is achieved.
Essential Functions:
- Development and execution of annual business plans to maximize the value of each asset
- Provide strategy, direction and oversight for leasing and management teams in an effort to maximize top line revenues and to ensure appropriate cost control measures are achieved.
- Ensure all potential lease transactions are consistent with current market conditions.
- Keep current of market conditions in order to understand the competitive position of each asset from a leasing and investment perspective.

School districts vary with respect to requiring SLPs to complete speech and related evaluations:
- SLPs must collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to gain an understanding of students’ strengths, interests, and needs with respect to speech and language services.
- Depending upon the school district, SLPs should be able to utilize a variety of evaluation tools to assess students’ speech or language needs and help determine if they are eligible for special education services.
- SLPs will propose relevant IEP goals to students’ interdisciplinary teams and work throughout the year to help students achieve their goals.
- SLPs will need to collect and summarize data on students’ progress, and draft progress reports as per district schedules.

- Relatedly, experience with the SETT framework is desirable, as SLPs will often serve as a primary resource for SETT evaluators.
- Experience with RTI and MTSS is desirable, as schools place high value on the insights SLPs can offer child study teams.
- Experience with or the ability to develop and coordinate therapy schedules to ensure students receive all services identified in their IEPs is essential.
- Experience with feeding and swallowing evaluations and interventions is a bonus.
Additional Job Functions
- Review/discuss caseload with Aveanna’s Clinical Director at least once a month.
- Assists and guide teachers in observing, describing, and referring suspected and identified speech and language impairments.
- Provide screenings to identify students who require speech and/or language interventions and/or referral for formal assessment.
- Provides information and support to parents and families when appropriate.
- Provide a written evaluation defining Speech Therapy needs, goals and expected outcomes.
- Serves as a resource consultant for clinical staff.
Requirements
- Masters’ Degree from accredited university or program in Speech Language Pathology.
- Current and unrestricted SLP license to practice in the state of practice (not under investigation for anything that may jeopardize one’s license).
- Additional requirements vary by state and district (e.g., First Aid, CPR certification, mandated reporter training, child abuse clearances, criminal history background checks).

The Opportunity
As a dedicated Senior Property Adjuster, you will work within defined guidelines and framework, investigate, evaluate, negotiate and settle complex property insurance claims presented by or against our members. You will confirm/analyze coverage, recognize liability exposure and negotiate equitable settlement in compliance with all state regulatory requirements. You will recognize and empathize with members' life events, as appropriate.
Field Property Adjusters focus on using technology and desk adjusting for a virtual first approach to inspections and claims handling. USAA also provides a company vehicle to physically inspect losses within your locally assigned territory. Field Adjusters may travel outside of their local territory to respond to claims in other regions when needed. This is an hourly, non-exempt position with paid overtime available.
We have a positions available for an experienced Senior Field Property Adjusters with large loss specializing in Contents for the Philadelphia, PA area.
This is a field-based role for Philadelphia, PA . Also, candidate has to live withing 1 hour from the international airport. Candidates currently living in this location or willing to self-relocate are encouraged to apply.
What you'll do:
* Proactively manages assigned claims caseload comprised of claims with moderate complexity damages that require commensurate knowledge and understanding of claims coverage.
* Partners with vendors and internal business partners to facilitate moderate complexity claims resolution. May also involve external regulatory coordination to ensure appropriate documentation and compliance.
* Investigates claim damages by conducting research from various sources, including the insured, third parties, and external resources. May identify and resolve potential discrepancies and identifies subrogation potential resulting from unusual characteristics.
* Identifies coverage concerns, reviews prior loss history, determines and creates Special Investigation Unit (SIU) referrals, when appropriate. Determines coverage through analyzing investigation information involving moderate complexity policy terms and contingencies.
* Determines and negotiates moderate complexity claims settlement. Develops recommendations and collaborates with management for determining settlement amounts outside of authority limits and accurately manages claims outcomes.
* Maintains accurate, thorough, and current claim file documentation throughout the claims process.
* Applies proficient knowledge of estimating technology platforms and virtual inspection tools; Utilizes platforms and tools to prepare claims estimates to manage moderate complexity property insurance claims.
* Applies working knowledge of industry standards of inspection, damage mitigation and restoration techniques.
* Serves as an informal resource for team members.
* Recognizes and addresses jurisdictional challenges such as applicable legislation and construction considerations.
* Supports workload surges and catastrophe (CAT) response operations as needed, including mandatory on-call dates and potential evening, weekend, and/or holiday work outside normal work hours.
* May be assigned CAT deployment travel with minimal notice during designated CATs.
* Works various types of claims, including ones of higher complexity, and may be assigned additional work outside normal duties as needed.
* Ensures risks associated with business activities are effectively identified, measured, monitored, and controlled in accordance with risk and compliance policies and procedures..

* High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma.
* 2 years relevant property adjusting and/or claims adjusting experience handling moderately complex claims or construction related industry/insurance experience.
* Developing knowledge of residential construction.
* Working knowledge of estimating losses using Xactimate or similar tools and platforms.
* Demonstrated negotiation, investigation, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
* Working knowledge of property claims contracts and interpretation of case law and state laws and regulations.
* Proficient in prioritizing and multi-tasking, including navigating through multiple business applications.
* May need to travel up to 50% of the year (local & non-local) and/or work catastrophe duty when needed.
* Acquisition and maintenance of insurance adjuster license within 90 days and 3 attempts.
