Clinical Role and Responsibilities:

  • Perform inpatient and emergency department geriatrics consultations in alignment with the mission of the service

  • Preoperative and postoperative management of medical conditions in orthopedic patients in collaboration with the orthopedic team

  • Evaluate and manage consults addressing the key Geriatric Syndromes including, but not limited to, falls, delirium, impaired mobility, impaired cognition, elder abuse, multi-morbidity, delirium, and complex goals of care in patients >65 years old.

  • Work collaboratively within a combined physician/ advanced practice provider consult team, as well as maintain close coordination with the Palliative Care, Neurology, and Psychiatry consultant teams also serving this vulnerable population

  • Actively participate in the training of fellows, house staff, medical students, and other learners rotating through the service; contribute to fulfillment of the established curriculum

  • Work to develop and maintain individual and service consult volume through collaboration with primary surgical, internal medicine, and emergency medicine teams

  • Weekend call will be equal and commensurate

Quality and Metrics:

  • Participate in quality improvement activities to evaluate the quality of the services provided based on defined outcomes (eg time to consult completion, effect on length of stay, advance care planning compliance)

  • Maintain appropriate billing and documentation consistent with the standards of the Division and the Institution

  • Individual wRVUs should be consistent with regional norms defined and benchmarked by the Division based on Nationally reported data

The Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai through its affiliation with New York City Health + Hospitals/Elmhurst is seeking a full-time Body or General Radiologist. Elmhurst Hospital Center is a 545-bed tertiary care facility and an ACS-verified level 1 trauma center in the ethnically diverse borough of Queens, NY. The Elmhurst Radiology team is a dedicated, knowledgeable and friendly group of radiologists, technologists, nurses and support staff. The department of radiology has 4 CT scanners, 1 MRI, and a new Siemens biplane interventional suite, which is a component of our new stroke program.

This is a rare opportunity. Turnover in the department of radiology is very low, with radiologists generally staying at Elmhurst for decades at a time. This is a great place to work. Flexible hybrid remote and onsite work options are available. Productivity expectations are reasonable and aligned with our mission to deliver high quality medical care to the Queens communities in which we serve.

Responsibilities principally include interpreting diagnostic studies with an emphasis on cross sectional imaging including CT, US, and MRI studies. The position covers daytime shifts Monday-Friday. There is minimal call responsibility consisting of several Saturday and Sunday on-call shifts over the course of a year. Moonlighting opportunities are available on evenings and weekends.

  • Support faculty and fellows who volunteer to help staff the East Harlem Outreach Partnership, the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai’s student-run free clinic that provides primary care and reproductive health services to uninsured adults in the neighborhood.

Annual Base Salary: $337,000*(board eligible); $347,000* (board certified) based on 40-hour work week. Additional compensation available for extra call or sessional/per diem hours.

The annual total value of the compensation package is estimated at $501,372** (board eligible) and $512,372** (board certified), which includes the baseline salary, 401 (k) contribution, sessional/per diem hours, and other factors as set forth below:

  • Estimated annual compensation for 10 additional sessional/per diem hours worked per week is $90,672.
  • Projected bonus of up to $40,000 (based on previous year’s average), contingent upon meeting quality and productivity targets.

The Department of Radiology of the Mount Sinai Health System and the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai is seeking a fellowship-trained, Board Certified  Neuroradiologist  for a full time position in its Division of Neuroradiology at Mount Sinai Hospital. The neuroradiology group is responsible for providing services for inpatient and outpatient practices at our various sites.
Academic Musculoskeletal Radiology 
Department of Diagnostic, Molecular and Interventional Radiologyis committed to focusing on early detection and diagnosis; treatment and prevention; and research. The Musculoskeletal Radiology section (8 members) is responsible for providing services for inpatient and outpatient practice at Main campus and Mount Sinai West/Downtown. Proficiency in all aspects of Musculoskeletal radiology including MR, CT, Ultrasound, and MSK related ultrasound guided, fluoroscopic guided and CT guided procedures is preferred. Our faculty is dedicated to clinical excellence and the education of both Main campus and Mount Sinai West/Downtown radiology residencies and a musculoskeletal radiology fellowship. Compensation range from 350K to 500K (not including bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits)
General Radiology: The Mount Sinai Health System is recruiting a full or part time radiologist for the  Mount Sinai Queens Hospital . Mount Sinai Queens Hospital campus a 235-bed licensed acute care facility in Astoria, New York. Mount Sinai Queens provides adult medical and surgical services, with a team of nearly 500 physicians representing about 40 medical and surgical specialties and subspecialties.
Compensation range from 360K to 475K (not including bonuses / incentive compensation or benefits).
