The Loyola Inpatient Dialysis unit provides adult and pediatric hemodialysis care with five dialysis stations. We provide hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, and continuous renal replacement therapy to a diverse group of patients with kidney failure across the hospital. Dialysis care is provided by a team of professionals, including nephrologists, dialysis registered nurses, certified hemodialysis technicians and other members of the interdisciplinary team. ENERAL PATIENT CARE - Meets the comfort and hygiene needs of the patient.
TECHNICAL CARE - Assists with completion of patient testing and treatment procedures, sets up and primes IV tubing, 12-lead ECG, simple tracheostomy suctioning and care, changes dressings, performs cardiopulmonary resuscitation, obtains wound and throat cultures.
EQUIPMENT - Assists physician and professional staff in equipment supply and set up.
TRANSPORT - Assists with ambulating patients with assistive devices such as crutches and with transfer/transport procedures.

Position Requirements
Minimum Education:

We seek colleagues with:
A Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing is required - BSN or ADN
BLS provider (accredited by the American Heart Association) required prior to hire
Illinois Board of Nursing license prior to hire
1 year of inpatient Nursing Experience preferred
BSN Pay Range: $36.05 - $59.92 per hour
ADN Pay Range: $32.90 - $57.06 per hour
Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.
