· Provide timely assistance to engineers and fellow technicians as needed.

· Perform routine maintenance and installations, which may involve working at height, on rail systems, or during night shifts.

Other Responsibilities

· Communicate equipment needs, performance issues, or field findings to the Supervisor or Project Manager.

· Occasionally climbing up to ladders and lifting up to 50 lbs. to install or decommission instrumentation.

· Perform additional duties in the workshop or field as needed.

· Seek continuous improvement in operational procedures and workflows.


QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

Education & Experience

· BS Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline is considered an asset.

· 1+ years of relevant field experience.

· Demonstrable experience with the installation and maintenance of geotechnical and structural instruments such as piezometers, inclinometers, extensometers, and total stations.

· Basic understanding of heavy construction means and methods.

· Strong collaboration abilities, working effectively with colleagues and within multidisciplinary teams.

· Strong attention to detail and effective oral and written communication skills.

· Must be technology-minded, have basic knowledge about instrumentation systems, basic programming, software, low-voltage electrical, and remote measurements.

· Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.

· Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, SharePoint, PowerPoint)

· Strong work ethic and professionalism in representing the company.

· Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively with minimal supervision.

· Must be willing to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

COMPENSATION

Salary Range: $60,000 – $100,000, based on experience and qualifications.
