Overview:
Under the supervision of the surgeon, the CST-FA performs first assistant duties during the surgical procedure. In addition, the CST-FA performs in the role of the Surgical Technologist in the Operating Room as needed. Maintains accountability for the provision of surgical instruments to the surgical team. Coordinates the care of the surgical patient with other team members. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.
Qualifications:
Experience: Minimum 3 years Surgical Technologist scrub experience.
Required Education: Surgical Technology experience or Graduate with a Degree in Surgical Technology or completion certification from an accredited surgical technology program preferred.
Certifications: BLS through the American Heart Association

Overview:
Performs direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care, according to physician's orders. Consults physicians on effectiveness of therapy. Acts as an advanced resource person for physicians and nursing on respiratory care. Performs duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Education: Graduate of CoArc approved Respiratory Care program.
Licensure: Meets state licensure requirements and has a current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
Certifications: Hold the Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) or Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) credential awarded by the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC). For co-workers who work in the Emergency Room PALS is required. ACLS is required.
Experience: Must have one year of experience, not to include time on orientation.
Other: Physical demands are attached plus push, pull, and grip up to 50 lbs. Plus, pinch up to 10 lbs., kneel, crouch, and crawl minimally.
Equipment Used: All appropriate respiratory care devices.
Preferred Experience: Prefer critical care experience.

Overview:
Performs the primary function of a Surgical Technologist in the Operating Room. Maintains accountability for the provision of surgical instruments to the surgical team. Coordinates the care of the surgical patient with other team members. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality. - Primary Aspects: Anticipates surgeon and operative team members needs regarding care delivery, maintaining sterile technique and comfort. Assist surgeon in a knowledgeable, efficient and courteous manner. Knows procedure and/or utilizes preference cards to assure instrument and equipment needs are available so team can stay patient focused: participates in updating preference cards. Inspects instruments and power equipment prior to use to assure operational order and troubleshoots, reports, and removes faulty instrument and equipment from service. Performs or assists in sterile preps as needed/requested by monitoring aseptic techniques of surgical team members at field, reporting and correcting breaks in sterile technique immediately, and controlling location of contaminated instruments and supplies.
Qualifications:
- Required Education: HS Diploma or GED. Non-certified applicants may be considered for this position with acceptable surgical technology experience.
