PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Review and maintain records regarding driver compliance with hours of service requirements in the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations. Meet with drivers to review their logs and make sure they are being completed correctly.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Review driver logs to detect falsification and check for violation of DOT rules
- Educate and train drivers in the proper completion of logs
- File and maintain records of driver’s logs
- Address problems that drivers may encounter with hours of service requirements while they are on the road
