We are seeking a Critical Care Medicine Physician Assistant for a 60-day assignment in Illinois, starting Apr 6, 2026. This role involves delivering high-quality care to critically ill patients, managing 5–10 patients per shift, participating in ICU rounds, and performing critical care procedures. Shifts are from 10 AM to 10 PM, with a minimum of 4 consecutive shifts required; weekend-only availability is acceptable.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Deliver high-quality care to critically ill patients in collaboration with physicians, other APPs, and the e-ICU team.
- Manage 5–10 patients per shift.
- Participate in ICU rounds at 10 AM and 10 PM.
- Perform critical care procedures including Central Venous Catheter (CVC) placement, Arterial line placement, Hemodialysis (HD) line placement, and Intubations (based on skill and comfort level).
- Collaborate with on-site physicians, other APPs, and/or e-ICU as needed.

Provides education for mothers and family in correct lactation management. Develops and implements ongoing lactation educational program annually on lactation for the healthcare team. Participates in lactation program development and implementation. Works with the appropriate shared governance structure on issues relating to lactation. Participates in development of policies, procedures, algorithms and guidelines specific to lactation practice at site and system levels. Collects data, identifies, monitors and evaluates quality and safety issues related to practice. Maintains phone consultation system for lactation questions and problems. Represents the lactation department at unit/system/community meetings. Evaluates and integrates research findings into lactation practice. As a Licensed Clinical Therapist, you will treat a wide variety of mental health conditions that reflect the needs of our diverse patient population. This position is based on site at our Flagstaff, AZ office having in-person sessions. Flexibility for telehealth sessions may be considered. You will have the flexibility to create your own schedule provided client needs are met.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Screen and assess patients for common mental health and substance abuse disorders
- Provide treatment for mental health conditions using various approaches including cognitive behavioral therapy, dialectical behavioral therapy, and other evidence-based methods
- Systematically track treatment response and monitor patients for changes in clinical symptoms and treatment side effects or complications
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date electronic medical records and clinical documentation, ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements
- Participate in our patient growth strategy by providing a profile for online directories and other marketing efforts

Required Qualifications:
- Master's degree in psychology, social work, or a related counseling field
- Clear, active and unrestricted license that allows you to practice without supervision (LCSW, LMFT, or LPC) in Arizona
Preferred Qualifications:
- 2+ years of professional experience post master's degree providing behavioral health services
- Experience providing direct psychotherapy services to individuals and families
- Experience working with computers for professional communication and medical documentation - Excel, Outlook, Athena RMS (or other EHRs)
- Proven ability to work both independently and collaboratively with equal effectiveness
