A growing and well-established litigation firm is seeking an Associate Attorney with 2+ years of Insurance Defense experience to join its team. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney looking to develop their practice in a collaborative environment while being rewarded for strong performance.
Position Overview:
The ideal candidate will have a solid foundation in Insurance Defense and be comfortable handling cases from early stages through resolution. This role offers meaningful hands-on experience, mentorship, and the opportunity to take ownership of your work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage a caseload with oversight from senior attorneys
- Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery
- Conduct legal research and develop case strategies
- Take and defend depositions
- Attend hearings, mediations, and other court appearances
- Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, and experts
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of civil litigation/insurance defense experience
- Strong writing, research, and analytical skills
- Experience in state and/or federal court preferred
- Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment
- Licensed and in good standing with the applicable state bar
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive base salary (commensurate with experience)
- Aggressive quarterly bonus structure based on billings
- Typical bonuses range from $3,000–$4,000 per quarter
- Top performers can earn $25,000+ annually in bonuses
- Flexible work environment: in-office, hybrid, or potential remote options depending on experience and performance
- Initial in-office period expected for onboarding and training
Billable Requirement:
- 1,900 hours annually
