Qualifications:Job-Specific:
- Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program
- Current PA or NP with valid certification
- Current CO license
- DEA registration
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association
- Advanced Cardiopulmonary and Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Registered Co Fluoro Operation preferred, but not required upon hire; must obtain within 1 year of hire
- 2 years of experience in Radiology preferred, but not required

Duties: Perform minor radiology procedures including, but not limited to
- Paracentesis/Thoracentesis
- Biopsy/fine needle aspiration
- Joint aspiration and injection
- Abscess/fluid aspiration and drainage
- Lumbar puncture
- Intravenous access and removal, including central lines, midlines, PICCs
- Provide pre-procedure consultation/E&M obtain pre-procedure H&P
- Provide post-procedure evaluation
- Prescribe medications, as appropriate per scope of practice
- Provide patient and family education
- Document assessment, diagnosis, treatment and follow up care in the patient record
- Assist radiologists and hospital staff with patient throughput

Responsibilities:
- Examines patient, compiles patient medical data and results of examination.
- Administers or orders diagnostic tests, such as x-ray, electrocardiogram, and laboratory tests.
- Compiles patient medical data, including health history and results of physical examination.
- Interprets diagnostic test results for deviations from normal.
- Performs therapeutic procedures, such as injections, immunizations, suturing and wound care, and managing infection.
- Instructs and counsels patients regarding compliance with prescribed therapeutic regimens and health maintenance.
- Develops and implements patient management plans, records progress notes, and assists in provision of continuity of care.
- Assists in the development, implementation and revision of policies affecting medical practice judgment and quality of occupational health care.

Qualifications:

- Passed the Physician Assistant National Certifying Examination (PANCE)

- Physician Assistant Certification (PA-C) issued by the National Commission for Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA) is required for hire and must be maintained throughout employment.
