The Boeing Company is looking for a Calibration Technician A to join our team in Renton, WA .

Position Responsibilities:

  • Plan, check, set up, and operate, basic and advanced Measurement and Test Equipment (M&TE) and/or process equipment

  • Use calibration standards (dimensional, electrical, thermal, and optical) to calibrate, adjust, certify, maintain, and repair M&TE/process equipment using approved calibration procedures, process specifications, equipment drawings, and M&TE /process equipment manufacturer's performance specifications

  • Conduct routine tests, analyze data and document results

  • Troubleshoot and recommend resolution of shop floor equipment, laboratory and test-related problems

  • Route M&TE/process equipment between receiving area, customer, and calibration lab

  • Coordinate with customers to calibrate stationary equipment while limiting machine downtime

  • Update equipment status using established systems and complete associated paperwork

  • Ensure equipment is ready for calibration per metrology processes

  • Prioritize and perform work according to automated daily report list, hot list, or as assigned by team lead or manager

  • Perform visual check of M&TE/process equipment for discrepancies and wear

  • Identify, document, and route non-conforming items in accordance with metrology lab processes

  • Provide information and clarification to customers on metrology processes

  • Develop and review new calibration processes and procedures

  • Perform computations necessary to analyze measurement test results

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.

This position must meet export control compliance requirements. To meet export control compliance requirements, a “U.S. Person” as defined by 22 C.F.R. §120.15 is required. “U.S. Person” includes U.S. Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • 5+ years of experience calibrating and/or using Measurement and Test Equipment (M&TE)

  • 1+ years of experience with Microsoft Office Suite

  • Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 35 pounds frequently within an 8 hour shift

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field in lieu of experience in calibrating and/or using Measurement and Test Equipment (M&TE)

  • Precision metrology equipment lab training

Job Title : Nuclear Engineer (Naval Reactors Engineer) Category / Component : Officer • Active Overview Design, regulate, and oversee the Navy's nuclear propulsion program, including reactor design, fleet operations, and eventual defueling and decommissioning of nuclear powered ships and submarines from Naval Reactors Headquarters and associated Department of Energy laboratories and shipyards.

Key Responsibilities Provide technical direction in areas such as reactor and fluid systems design, reactor physics, materials development, component design for steam generators, pumps, and valves, instrumentation and control for reactor and propulsion plants, testing and quality control, radiation shielding, and chemistry and radiological controls; review designs and analyses from laboratories, shipyards, and industry partners; coordinate with fleet units to ensure safe and reliable nuclear plant operation.
