Duties and Responsibilities: As a BPA, you will be part of our 60,000 workforce that strives to protect the American people by safeguarding our borders, deterring illicit activity, and enhancing the nation's economic prosperity.

Being a BPA makes you a valuable member of the Federal Law Enforcement Officer (LEO) profession.

Typical assignments include: Detecting and questioning people suspected of violating immigration and customs laws and inspecting documents and possessions to determine citizenship or violations.

Preventing and apprehending aliens and smugglers of aliens at or near the borders by maintaining surveillance from covert positions to include using infrared scopes during night operations.

Interpreting and following tracks, marks, and other physical evidence of illegal entry of persons or contraband.

Qualifications: GL-9: You qualify for the GL-9 grade level if you possess one (1) year of specialized experience, equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, performing duties such as: Performing physical searches of detained individuals, their vehicles, and their immediate surroundings for weapons, contraband, currency, and other evidence.

Apprehending, physically restraining, or working with law enforcement officials to identify or apprehend violators of state, federal, or immigration laws.

Proficient in the use of firearms, preparing investigative reports, serving court orders (e.g., warrants, subpoenas, etc.), and gathering evidence for criminal cases prosecuted through the court system.

If you have previous or current law enforcement or military law enforcement experience, you may qualify at the GS-11 grade level.

GS-11: You qualify for the GS-11 grade level if you possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level, with the authority granted by the state or government to enforce laws, make arrests, and investigate crimes, performing primary duties in an official law enforcement capacity such as: Utilizing intelligence information to track illegal operations, criminal activity, threats to our nation, and/or contraband while serving as a state, federal, or military law enforcement official.

Leading investigations of fraud, contraband, criminal activity, threats to our nation, and/or illegal operations to determine sources and patterns while serving as a state, federal, or military law enforcement official.

Apprehending violators of state, federal, or immigration laws by utilizing various forms of complex technology that include surveillance, detection, situation awareness systems, and/or communications equipment.

The above experience will be applied in connection with the following: Make arrests and exercise sound judgment in the use of firearms; deal effectively with people in a courteous manner in connection with law enforcement matters; analyze information rapidly and make prompt decisions; or develop and maintain contact with a network of informants.

There are no education substitutions for the GL-9 or GS-11 grade-level Border Patrol Agent opportunities.

Job Summary:

Asheville Cardiology Associates (ACA) is seeking an advanced practice provider to join our expanding general cardiology practice in Asheville, North Carolina. Qualified Candidates:

  • Completion of an accredited physician assistant or nurse practitioner program with appropriate certification exams
  • Has, and maintains, current license with the North Carolina Medical Board
  • BLS, ACLS certification required
  • New graduates welcome to apply
  • Cardiology APP experience preferred; and/or cardiology clinical rotations

Position Highlights

  • Hybrid Role - IP /OP Position
  • Standard 80 hrs. per bi weekly pay period
  • Schedule is a mix of 12; 10 and 8 hr. shifts
  • Provides coverage 7 days a week, primarily day shift, with occasional night shifts, when primary night shift APPs are out
  • Works closely with Physicians and Residents
  • Perform admissions, discharges, consults and general rounds on cardiology patients.
  • Typical work schedule is 7AM - 5 PM
  • "Late stay" coverage - 7 AM-7 PM or 7 AM- 3 PM

Position OverviewWe are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA) to join our team full time. The NP/PA will provide clinical leadership within our infusion center, overseeing infusion staff and collaborating with pharmacists, providers, and patients to ensure safe and effective administration of specialty medications. This role combines hands-on patient care with leadership responsibilities, supporting both clinical outcomes and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide direct patient care in the infusion center, including assessment, monitoring, and management of infusion therapies.
  • Oversee infusion nursing staff, ensuring adherence to clinical protocols, safety standards, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with pharmacists, referring providers, and interdisciplinary care teams to develop and implement individualized therapy plans.
  • Evaluate patients for therapy readiness, manage adverse reactions, and adjust care plans as appropriate.
  • Educate patients and families on infusion therapies, expected outcomes, and self-care.
  • Serve as a clinical resource and mentor to staff, fostering professional development and a culture of excellence.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards.
  • Support operational workflows within the infusion center to maximize efficiency and patient satisfaction.
  • Review prior authorizations, clinical documentation, and insurance requirements to help ensure reimbursement and timely access to specialty therapies.

Qualifications

  • Current licensure in North Carolina as a Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA).
  • Minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in infusion therapy or a related specialty preferred.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent communication and patient education skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.
