Working as a Maintenance Bulber means you'll maintain the replacement of light bulbs at Cedar Point to include rides, buildings, signs, and overhead lighting as necessary. 

• Maintain Lighting on rides, buildings, signs and overhead lighting as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety in assigned work area and performs all duties in compliance with Cedar Point Safety guidelines.
• Meets Cedar Point attendance requirements as outlined in Cedar Points attendance policies.

Joining our Maintenance Team means you'll be responsible for effectively installing piping for gas, water, sewer, air and other fixtures required. Must be able to troubleshoot and maintain plumbing systems. 

• Knowledge of troubleshooting, repairs and maintenance of all plumbing systems.
• Steam and hot water boilers.
• Swimming pool, chlorination systems. 
• Gas fired equipment. 
• Winterizing of plumbing and pool systems.
• Operate any equipment relative to piping systems i.e. pipe threader, sewer auger.
• Maintains cleanliness and safety in assigned work area and performs all duties in compliance with Six Flag's Safety guidelines and requirements and reports all unsafe or unusual conditions to supervision.

Overview:

The Finance and Accounting Intern (Intern) will be part of a collaborative team in a Shared Finance Services (SFS) environment. The Intern will be responsible for ensuring the completion and accuracy of accounting and finance functions of Six Flags Entertainment Corporation. Limited opportunities exist in these accounting disciplines : Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Business Transformation, Financial Accounting, Financial Planning and Analysis, Operational Accounting, Payroll, Revenue Accounting, and Treasury.

Ideal candidates will commit to a minimum of thirteen (13) weeks in an Intern position. Preferred candidates should be currently enrolled in an associate or bachelor’s degree program to join the team. The Intern will be immersed in day-to-day work activity in one of the above accounting disciplines over the term of the internship AND will attend twice-weekly half-day educational workshops with leaders in other accounting and business administrative disciplines to develop a comprehensive knowledge of accounting, finance and general business practices within Six Flags.

Accounting Disciplines:

The intern will have the opportunity to immerse in day-to-day work activity in one of these disciplines and will have the added benefit of learning and gaining skills in the other disciplines through the weekly workshops:

• Accounts Payable
  • Assist in processing weekly Accounts Payable disbursements.
  • Review vendor statements for accuracy.
• Accounts Receivable
  • Develop an understanding of how to retrieve information from a lockbox to apply payments to correct customer or account.
  • Assist in reconciling designated Accounts Receivable balance sheet accounts.
  • Review and resolve discrepancies in an Accounts Receivable Aging report.
• Business Transformation
  • Work with the Accounting Information Systems (AIS) team and learn about the financial systems used at Six Flags.
  • Assist the Business Transformation team in gathering data for report generation and decision making.
  • Practical experience in this area will lend visibility to participating in projects and fostering the future vision of the financial systems to be used.
• Financial Accounting
  • Work with staff accountants, supervisors, and managers to assist in writing journal vouchers, reconciling general ledger accounts and observing the relations between accounting and Park level operational departments.
• Financial Planning and Analysis
  • Take a deep dive into how the Six Flags budget is developed and then follow how this team connects with Park Leaders in trend analysis and forecasting.
  • Assist in ad-hoc financial analysis to help Park leaders make informed strategic decisions.
• Capital and Project Accounting
  • Learn how capital investment projects and budgets are developed, how this team tracks adherence to budget and how construction in progress (CIP) is transacted to a fixed asset in the general ledger.
• Payroll
  • Observe how multi-state/multi-national payroll is compiled and completed in a timely manner for thousands of associates and how associated government reports are completed and filed.
  • See how Park teams monitor and approve associate work time, how the Workforce Management team assists in scheduling and maximizing labor productivity and how a partnership with Human Resources is critical in compliance.
• Revenue Accounting
  • Become proficient in completing the daily revenue accounting process by importing and validating data between Point of Sale (POS) systems and accounting systems.
  • Compile, review, and distribute daily operational reports to park leadership.
  • Assist in the reconciliation of assigned Revenue balance sheet accounts.
• Treasury
  • Assist in identifying and reducing fraud related to Treasury Services where response time is critical and must be managed immediately or assist in daily credit card reconciliation and balancing to the bank statement and internal systems, assist with investigating all discrepancies and preparing journal vouchers.
• Other duties as assigned.

The Supervisor of Ride Maintenance assists in performing and leading assigned Union crew of mechanics in monitoring, maintenance and repair of rides and attractions as assigned. Performs related duties as required.
Responsibilities:

• Assists in performing and leading assigned crew in monitoring, maintenance and repair of rides and attractions as assigned. Performs related duties as required.
• Supervises subordinate crew members with the assistance of the foreperson. Supervisory duties include training, scheduling, direct instruction, assigning, reviewing and planning work, maintaining standards, coordinating activities, allocating personnel, and takes corrective action on employee issues. Timekeeping of employee schedules with in the Cedar Point timekeeping system.
• Reviews the work of subordinates for effectiveness and efficiency; Establishes and maintains a professional, trained, and motivated staff through effective implementation of performance and development programs. Uses effective communication to ensure all understand the expectations of the department. Utilizes company guidelines to hold those accountable when necessary.
• Develops and implements short/long range ride maintenance/repair plans. Assists in performing winter overhaul and year-long preventive maintenance of assigned rides/vehicles. Assists in monitoring, troubleshooting and repairing rides/vehicles during operating season. Keeps Area Manager informed of all maintenance problems/areas of concern. Assists other departments on repairs/maintenance projects as appropriate.
• Assists Area Manager in preparing department budget. Assists with ordering parts and materials as needed, ensuring compliance with the budgetary allocations. Assists in maintaining adequate inventory.
• Ensures the proper maintenance and safe operating condition of all assigned equipment. Conducts safety meetings and safety inspections of equipment. Receives and responds to inquiries, concerns and complaints from associates and guests regarding ride safety and maintenance.
• Hires candidates for open positions to effectively and strategically grow the assigned team. Ensures the new hire has the knowledge and resources to perform their job to the best of their ability.

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Vocational/technical training preferred.
• 1-3 years of supervisory/leadership experience.
• Ability to demonstrate knowledge of industrial electrical, hydraulics, and pneumatic systems. Ability to use meters, gauges, measuring devices, cutting torch, mechanic's tools, various other hand and power tools. 
• Preferred knowledge in Microsoft Office, Maintenance Connection, UKG, and JDE.

The Garage Mechanic is responsible for maintaining company vehicle fleet, and equipment in a safe and reliable condition as directed. They will also respond to guest service calls in a professional and courteous manner and is responsible for various equipment repairs as directed by Foreman.

• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on company vehicles or equipment.
• Operating tow truck for service calls and knowledge and skill to tow vehicles safely.
• Operating service truck in response to guest issues including vehicle lock outs, flat tires, out of gas, etc. 
• Providing exceptional guest service according to Cedar Point standards when serving the guest, including initiating guest interactions, answering questions, or giving directions.
• Able to perform related automotive and light truck service work as directed.
• Willing to work any shift or days assigned.
• Adequate tool selection to perform basic repairs and service work.
• Knowledge to operate 4 or 8 ton wreckers and ability to tow vehicles safely.
• Follow all company safety rules and policies, make sure equipment is properly secured before maintenance work is performed.

• Must have driver's license.

• ASE in auto (preferred).
