What you'll do

  • You plan your day, set priorities, and work with your team to keep freight moving safely and on time. You communicate clearly, solve problems as they come up, and adapt to changes on the road or in the plan.

Our Client, a Banking company, is looking for a Technology Physical Layer Engineer/Project Manager for their Brooklyn, OH location.

Responsibilities: Candidates for this position will be responsible for the design, engineering and installation of structured cabling systems based on industry and Client standards.

They will work with Client Corporate Real Estate, Client Network Engineering, outside architecture and engineering firms, cabling contractors and electrical contractors in a design-build construction environment.

This person will help define and implement cabling standards, prepare technical specifications and bid documents, identify and select qualified vendors and contractors and will provide technical support and project management from project start to finish.

They will also be responsible for day-to-day management and execution of non-project physical layer activity at Client sites.

The candidate must be able to manage multiple projects and activities at the same time and must be able to read and understand technical drawings, floor plans and network diagrams.

They must be able to work independently, interact with a variety people and levels within the company, travel to project sites as needed and identify risks and solve problems.

Client structured cabling systems are based on the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) and the Electronics Industry Association/Telecommunications Industry Association (EIA/TIA) standards.

Client has also standardized on the use of the Siemon Cabling System and all contractors must be Siemon Certified Installers.
