What you’ll do:
This position provides comprehensive respiratory care, including assessment, treatment, and management of patients across all patient populations. Specialized care for neonates and pediatrics will be limited to respiratory therapists who have completed the Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) and PALS certification. Responsibilities include administering therapies, managing ventilators, and performing diagnostic procedures while following established protocols and best practices approved by the Medical Director. Functions as a lead/charge therapist, coordinating workflow and supporting staff to ensure quality and safe patient care.

7SW (Surgical & General Trauma Unit): is a 33-bed adult inpatient surgical unit located on the 7th floor occupying the south and west wings. Patient population may include but not limited to the following: Trauma, General Surgery, Urology, Orthopedics, Gynecology and Medicine. 7SW is a semi-private unit. RN works with a PCT. A charge RN is assigned for both shifts to facilitate immediate unit needs and acts as direct resource. Acute nursing care treatment and monitoring modalities include but not limited to periodic vital signs, centralized telemetry, oxygen monitoring, glucose monitoring and wound care. Most common diagnoses and surgical procedures are traumatic brain injury, polytraumas, cholecystectomies, prostatectomies, joint replacements, percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PCNL) urinary diversions, and other urologic procedures, bowel resections and ostomies.

Part Time Inpatient RN Case Manager
CARE COORDINATION: The Inpatient RN Care Manager works with the multidisciplinary team including physicians, staff, and payers to ensure patient's progress along the continuum of care in an efficient and cost effective manner that ensures quality outcomes. The RN Care Manager acts as a patient advocate and communication link with other departments and community resources. Facilitates multidisciplinary rounds and supports nursing staff in development of individualized, evidence-based, outcomes oriented, and safe practice
Responsible for patient assessment of complex clinical discharge needs and establishment of an appropriate plan of care with multidisciplinary team. Demonstrates critical thinking skills and oversees the care coordination of defined population. Ensures that patient goals are set with patient/family, negotiates healthcare resources and educates patient/family regarding available options of care throughout the continuum. Demonstrates clinical competence to care for a specific patient population. Conducts daily multidisciplinary rounds demonstrating ability to identify and address care coordination barriers. Facilitate patient education for safe and effective discharge.
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT: Demonstrates leadership behaviors that enhance and support team functions. Mentors and coaches staff. Maintains competencies and participates in continuing education for self and development of colleagues and students. Participates in delivering professional programs/ courses/in-services, internal and/or external, and community events. The Loyola Inpatient Dialysis unit provides adult and pediatric hemodialysis care with five dialysis stations. We provide hemodialysis, peritoneal dialysis, and continuous renal replacement therapy to a diverse group of patients with kidney failure across the hospital. Dialysis care is provided by a team of professionals, including nephrologists, dialysis registered nurses, certified hemodialysis technicians and other members of the interdisciplinary team. Dialysis care is provided by a team of professionals, including nephrologists, dialysis registered nurses, certified hemodialysis technicians and other members of the interdisciplinary team. What Registered Nurse RN will need:
A Degree from an accredited school/college of nursing is required - BSN or ADN
BLS Provider (accredited by the American Heart Association) required prior to hire
Illinois Board of Nursing license prior to hire
Must Have Previous Dialysis experience
Compensation:
BSN Pay Range: $36.05 - $59.92 per hour
ADN Pay Range: $32.90 - $57.06 per hour
Actual compensation will fall within the range but may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, education, location, licensure, certification requirements, and comparisons to colleagues in similar roles.
