About This Role

We are seeking a motivated R&D Food Technologist to join our innovative R&D team in Bell Gardens, CA. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and testing new food products, ensuring high-quality standards, and improving existing products. Responsibilities include conducting research, performing laboratory experiments related to food technology and food science, analyzing ingredients, and maintaining compliance with food safety and industry regulations. • Provide timely case updates and strategic guidance to clients through regular reporting and direct communication

Qualifications

• JD from an ABA accredited law school
• Admitted to practice in California
• 8+ years of defense litigation experience, preferably in Personal Injury, General Liability, Catastrophic Injury, or Transportation.
• Exceptional communication, writing, and interpersonal skills
• Proven ability to build strong client relationships and deliver outstanding service
• Experience with client-facing responsibilities and managing complex matters is highly valued
• Ability to integrate into a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
• Legal project management experience preferred
• First chair trial experience a plus

A variety of factors are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to experience, education, licensure and/or certifications, geographic location, market demands, other business and organizational needs, and other factors permitted by law. This position is also eligible for discretionary bonuses. Final salary wages offered may be outside of this range based on other reasons and individual circumstances.  This position is considered full-time and therefore qualifies for benefits including 401(k) retirement savings plan, medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. 

Salary Range:: $210,000 USD - $225,000 USD

Job Responsibilities:

In addition to taking depositions and making appearances at the Workers’ Compensation Appeals Board, as an Associate Attorney you will:

• assume responsibility for cases at all levels of complexity
• communicate with clients
• develop strategies leading to efficient resolution of cases
• negotiate and settle cases-in-chief as well as liens
• draft pleadings and reports
• handle all aspects of workers’ compensation litigation

Qualifications:

• 2-7 Years of Workers' Compensation Experience Preferred
• Valid CA Bar License
