About the Clinician's Workday
The provider must be an MD or DO, board certified in general obstetrics and gynecology, and hold an active Pennsylvania medical license. Duties include inpatient obstetrics such as triage, labor management, vaginal and Cesarean deliveries, postpartum care and sterilizations, as well as gynecologic responsibilities including emergency consults, acute surgical care, and possibly scheduled D&E procedures for miscarriage. Required procedures include triage evaluations, limited obstetric ultrasounds, inductions, vaginal births, laceration repairs, operative vaginal deliveries, hemorrhage management, Cesarean births, postpartum sterilizations, postplacental IUD placements, and Nexplanon insertions. Gynecologic procedures include first-trimester D&E, surgical management of ectopic pregnancies, torsion, and other emergencies. The provider will be supported by nursing, technical, and perioperative staff, along with CNM/PA support on weekdays. The facility offers in-house anesthesia and pediatric support with a Level 1 nursery. This is a 24-hour call position (7a-7a) with an annual volume of approximately 750 births.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

HOUSEKEEPING
Kalahari guests are accustomed to experiencing a high level of guest service and cleanliness during their stay. Participants will be able to ensure that guests receive that level of service upon arrival and throughout their stay. Interns may experience different supervisory opportunities in Housekeeping, Common Area, or Laundry.
CULINARY
If you're interested in learning systems, working in multiple concepts, scratch cooking and finding out how Kalahari feeds the masses – down to an intimate dinner – that this is for you! Previous cooking experience is necessary.
DRY PARK OPERATIONS, INDOOR THEME PARK (Wisconsin & Texas)

WATERPARK
This role is generally reserved for majors such as Park & Recreation or Sports & Event Management but is open to anyone. Associates in this department must complete a Red Cross lifeguard certification program. A Waterpark Intern could be involved as a Lifeguard, Waterpark Maintenance or Park Keeper.
