This role involves daily shifts from 8 AM to 5 PM, focusing on providing comprehensive orthopedic evaluation and management in both clinic and inpatient settings, assisting orthopedic surgeons in the operating room, and managing post-operative rounding and follow-up care.
Responsibilities and Duties
- Provide orthopedic evaluation and management in clinic and inpatient settings
- Conduct comprehensive patient histories, physical exams, and orthopedic assessments
- Order and interpret imaging, including X-ray, CT, and MRI, along with other diagnostic tests
- Assist orthopedic surgeons in the operating room for procedures such as total joint replacements, arthroscopic procedures, fracture fixation (ORIF), and tendon or ligament repair
- Perform bedside procedures and fracture care, including fracture reductions, splinting, casting, and cast changes
