Faruki PLL is a trial-focused litigation firm led by trial lawyers. For more than 35 years, we have represented businesses and their leaders in complex commercial disputes. Our practice includes business and commercial litigation, as well as matters involving intellectual property, class actions, data security and privacy, employment, and media and communications.
We have an immediate opening for a Litigation Associate with 3 to 8 years of litigation experience. The role is based in Dayton or Cincinnati. The right candidate will have solid experience in business and commercial litigation, including brief writing and motion practice, taking and defending depositions, managing fact and expert discovery (including ESI), working with experts, and managing mediation and trial preparation.
The ideal candidate can oversee assigned phases of litigation with appropriate supervision, including coordinating with other attorneys, paralegals, staff, and clients. Candidates should be comfortable with direct client contact, sound judgment, and working in a small team where quality, responsiveness, and follow-through matter.
Ohio bar admission is required. We will consider candidates who are eligible for admission in Ohio or who can obtain Ohio admission promptly. Strong academic credentials and excellent research, writing, analytical, and communication skills are essential.

Qualified candidates:
- One (1) to three (3) years of civil litigation experience.
- One (1) to two (2) years of experience in the Creditorsβ Rights or Collection fields preferred.
- Experience working in a fast pace, high volume environment
- Experience creating persuasive communications materials
- Strong investigative skills to uncover facts, causes of action and determine next steps
- Self-motivated with a demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and work as part of a team.
- Computer skills including Word, Excel and Outlook
Education/Training/Experience:
- Juris Doctor Degree (J.D.)
- Ohio license required
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
- Subrogation or insurance experience a plus
