The American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM) is currently seeking a Psychometrician to join our team. In this role, the Psychometrician is responsible for leading the psychometric activities for examinations and facilitating improvements to psychometric methods, processes, and relevant issues in the evaluation of medical knowledge and education.
Reporting to the Manager, Psychometric Operations, the Psychometrician has the following primary responsibilities:
- Facilitate/perform item analysis, IRT calibrations, scoring, equating, standard setting, and validity and reliability studies for several certification examinations.
- Develop, maintain, and/or improve operational psychometric processes
- Collaborate with subject matter experts and exam developers in item development and review processes and exam design, development, and review processes.
- Report examination results and related research to physician and non-physician audiences.
- Provide oversight and support for data analysts in research projects and operational work.
- Handle inquiries (by phone and in writing) related to examination scoring.
- Collaborate on research and development projects within and across departments and communicate results to the board and to the research community.
- Advise on research, measurement, statistical, and systems issues.
- Plan for projects by anticipating work and the required resources, and understand the importance of operational and project planning processes as it relates to the use of company's fiscal and human resources.
The ideal candidate has a doctorate degree in educational/psychological measurement, statistics, or related field with zero to three years' experience and has the ability to effectively use statistical analysis programs and IRT software including (but not limited to) SAS, R, In addition, experience in the principles and application of psychometrics including item response theory (i.e., item calibration, item evaluation, linking/equating, and IRT scoring), classical test theory, and standard setting. To thrive in this role at ABIM, one must have excellent communication, organizational, planning and problem-solving skills.

Overview
The Regional Sales Representative is responsible for generating profitable growth by building strong partnerships within the Northeast in the 2-50 employee range. This role reports to the Regional Vice President of Sales and is central to our broker-first distribution model.
Responsibilities
- Make 40+ outbound calls daily to targeted brokers in the market space
- Create awareness of Optimyl’s offerings, including plan design, cost-containment strategies, and network flexibility
- Train brokers on Optimyl’s positioning, quoting tools, and sales process
- Provide ongoing, white-glove support through quoting, underwriting, and implementation
- Collaborate with brokers to develop effective selling strategies for their employer clients
- Communicate updates on product offerings, rate changes, and network configurations
- Build strong working relationships with Account Management for seamless implementation
- Track group-level data and activities in the CRM for accurate forecasting and reporting
- Meet daily activity metrics and provide market feedback to the RVP
- Travel within the region (15-20%) to deepen broker relationships and close key deals
Compensation
- Base Salary: $50,000
- Total Compensation: Salary + Commission + Bonus
- Target Annual Compensation: $125,000 - $250,000
- First-Year Expected Income: $70,000 - $85,000

- 2+ years of B2B sales or broker distribution experience

Responsible for the sale of activated carbon, equipment and services as well as growing and maintaining current business relationships within the defined geographical and/or market specific territories. This position is responsible for municipal and/or industrial sales for various markets such as environmental, chemical, food, drinking water, wastewater, groundwater, and process applications, and requires selling/influencing decision makers in procurement, operations, management, consulting engineers, general contractors, etc. Typical territory revenue responsibility $12-$20 MM (not confined to this range). This role has more autonomy for managing his/her territory than the TSR IV role.
Duties and Responsibilities (not limited to)
- Prepare and document all sales proposals and customer communications as required by the company and business unit directives. This will include the use of GCRM to record and share meaningful customer and market information, bid results, competitive pricing, and other relevant activities
- Update sales forecast on a regular basis
- Keep the manager informed of all activities, including business threats and opportunities, in the assigned customer and market territory
- Assist with Accounts Receivables as needed
- Expand and strengthen the assigned business portfolio by driving strategic growth initiatives and cultivating high-value relationships across target markets
- Identify and secure new opportunities through proactive engagement, market intelligence, and alignment with organizational objectives
- Deliver exceptional customer service by maintaining a deep understanding of client needs and industry trends
