As a Medical Assistant in Primary Care, you’ll be a vital part of the patient experience and care team. Your responsibilities include:
Preparing patients for provider visits using the Advanced Standard Rooming Process:- Documenting chief complaints
- Taking vitals, reviewing history and allergies
- Completing medication reconciliation
- Addressing care gaps (e.g., screenings, diabetic eye exams)

Overview:
Mercy Center for Performance Medicine out-patient surgery offers state of the art care to patients in need of surgical care. The center consists of 10 operating rooms, 2 minor procedure rooms and 1 cysto suite, making it one of the largest surgery centers in the United States. Equipped with the latest and greatest technology.
Surgery specialties include orthopedics, urology, plastics, neuro and general surgery.
Along with the operating room, the surgery center includes its own pre/post area, PACU, 23-hour stay area, SPD and supply chain.
Job Duties- Maintains accountability for the provision of surgical instruments to the surgical team. Coordinates the care of the surgical patient with other team members. Maintains patient rights and confidentiality. Performs duties and responsibilities in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and Mercy Service Standards.
Primary Aspects: Anticipates surgeon and operative team members needs regarding care delivery, maintaining sterile technique and comfort. Assist surgeon in a knowledgeable, efficient and courteous manner. Knows procedure and/or utilizes preference cards to assure instrument and equipment needs are available so team can stay patient focused: participates in updating preference cards. Inspects instruments and power equipment prior to use to assure operational order and troubleshoots, reports, and removes faulty instrument and equipment from service. Performs or assists in sterile preps as needed/requested by monitoring aseptic techniques of surgical team members at field, reporting and correcting breaks in sterile technique immediately, and controlling location of contaminated instruments and supplies.
Qualifications:
Required Education: HS Diploma or GED. Non-certified applicants may be considered for this position with acceptable surgical technology experience.
Required Experience: Must have at least one year of Surgical Tech experience
Preferred Education: Surgical Technology experience or Graduate with a Degree in Surgical Technology or completion certification from an accredited surgical technology program preferred.
Certifications: BLS through the American Heart Association

As directed, may be preparing the endoscopy field, obtain needed equipment uphold patient safety standards and assist the physician and registered nurse. As a day-shift nurse in the IVC, you will deliver both pre- and post-procedure care for patients undergoing cardiac, vascular, and pulmonary interventions. These procedures include cardiac catheterizations, electrophysiology studies, ablations, TAVRs, and bronchoscopies.All patients arrive from home and are independent with their activities of daily living. This position is scheduled for three 12-hour shifts per week with variable start times.

Experience: Must have RN telemetry experience
Required Education: Nursing Degree from an accredited school
License: current RN license in the state of Missouri or compact state
