Ecological Fibers, Inc. in Lunenburg, Massachusetts is looking for a Purchasing Coordinator. We are looking for the right individual that wants to join a family run business and make an impact. Position Summary: The Purchasing Coordinator takes an active role in sourcing, ordering, and maintaining inventory to keep manufacturing operations running smoothly. This position works closely with suppliers and manufacturing to ensure materials and products are available, delivered on time, and meet quality standards.


Position Responsibilities

  • Research, source, price and purchase goods for manufacturing.
  • Analyze, monitor, and manage inventory levels of stock product lines.
  • Prepare, review, and issue purchase orders with a high level of accuracy.
  • Receive incoming orders against packing slips to confirm accuracy of order received.
  • Communicate with vendors regarding quote requests, sample requests, and stock and order status.
  • Track incoming shipments and update systems and teammates with information that may impact manufacturing capabilities or order delivery.
  • Initiate, track, and complete returns, ensuring accurate reimbursement.
  • Update purchasing systems data if/when needed.
  • Occasionally assist maintenance and manufacturing with research of parts and technical data.
  • Work with Accounting Department in resolving billing discrepancies.
  • Must be flexible to complete other projects and duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in an office/manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Strong math and organizational skills.
  • Computer skills with a good working knowledge of spreadsheets and ability to multi-task.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality, have initiative and exercise good judgment.
  • Good written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills for effective interface with all internal and external customers.


Work Environment/Physical Demands:

  • Office working environment that involves sitting, walking, climb stairs, bend, stretch, and/or lift up to 40 lbs.
  • Frequently visits in and around production areas.

  • Responsible for advanced internal initiatives and mentorship for the betterment of the Practice


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s Degree or requisite experience preferred
  • 3-4 years of consulting experience or 7-9 years of applicable work experience, specifically within Oracle Cloud Recruiting (ORC), Talent and/or Learning Management.
  • Professional attitude, with a growth mindset seeking to drive change and improvement in all aspects of the role
  • Experience implementing projects using Agile Iterative approach
  • Understanding of Oracle design best practices and standard business process flows
  • Ability to meaningfully articulate terminology, processes, functionality, and architecture
  • Oracle certification(s) preferred, with the ability to acquire and maintain various additional certifications
  • Self-motivated and independent with the ability to effectively listen and communicate
  • Willingness to join a dynamic, multinational team
  • Values diversity of thought and collaboration
  • Ability to continue to grow and learn despite existing expertise
  • Functional practitioner experience in HR is preferred
  • Expertise in at least 3 modules of Oracle in your Subject Area of expertise
