* *The Role
* *We are seeking a skilled and motivated Associate Personal Injury Litigation Attorney to handle an active litigation caseload.
The ideal candidate will be experienced, self-driven, and ready to take on responsibilities from case initiation through trial.
* *Responsibilities:
* * *Represent clients in all phases of personal injury litigation
* * *Draft and file pleadings, motions, and discovery
* * *Take and defend depositions of witnesses and experts
* * *Conduct mediations, pre-trial hearings, and court appearances
* * *Try cases to jurors in Ohio courts
* * *Responsible for some pre-litigation files
* * *Interview clients and witnesses, gather evidence, and develop case strategies
* * *Negotiate settlements with opposing parties and insurance companies
* * *Work closely with paralegals, investigators, and support staff
* * *Maintain meticulous case records and documentation
* * *Stay updated on legal developments affecting personal injury practice
* *Requirements
* * *Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
* * *Licensed and in good standing to practice in Ohio
* * *Minimum 1 year of experience in personal injury litigation
* * *Minimum 2-5 years of plaintiff or defense personal injury practice
* * *Strong grasp of case management, pleadings, discovery, and trial prep
* * *Excellent research, analytical, and negotiation skills
* * *Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
* * *Ability to meet deadlines and manage caseload independently and as part of a team
* *Preferred Qualifications
* * *Experience handling motor vehicle accident cases, including truck accidents
* * *Trial experience (at least one jury trial preferred)
* * *Active membership in the Ohio State Bar Association, Ohio Association for Justice, or American Association for Justice
* * *Civil trial advocacy certification is a plus
