The Test Equipment Engineering (TEE) team within the Specialty Engineering Directorate is a multi-discipline organization responsible for developing advanced windows application solutions for all Raytheon products. We are hands-on, designing with the latest technology and tools, and integrating state of the art software solutions with the most advanced engineering systems in the world.  TEE products are in engineering labs, in the field, and in production environments utilized for weapon system products. Raytheon is seeking a talented Senior Principal System Security Engineering (SSE) Program Lead - P5. This individual will be responsible for program execution, leading an SSE team, and providing guidance to program-level systems/software/hardware architects. This person will also serve as a direct interface during important reviews, briefings, and technical exchange/demos. Communication and collaboration with the customer as well as with other engineering disciplines is required to ensure the program-level chief engineers and architectures support the program's needs. The person in this role will lead the analysis of SSE issues that directly affect the system. The successful candidate will have a security conscious approach to take into consideration the systems level effect to resolving complex programs and the ability to convince leadership that the proposed solution is best for the mission (including program cost, schedule, and technical). The individual will work with the program and customer in the development of the system, providing strategic input and planning for the system, applications, architecture, and design in a dynamic, agile development environment. The individual will assist in the tracking of key roadmaps and deliverables. This is an onsite position at Raytheon in Tucson, AZ.

What You Will Do

  • Performing Task Lead duties (e.g., task planning, product owner, scrum master)

  • Implement SSE solutions into RTX products

  • Interact with customer to define SSE requirements, solutions, trades, costs, implementation, system impacts, and effectiveness

  • Support developing plans and estimates, task execution, project tracking, reporting, and risk identification and mitigation plans

  • Plan and guide SSE implementations in customer systems

  • Consult and assist program line management with SSE architectures and issues

  • Attack threat modeling / Critical Program Information Assessments

  • Developing top-level system requirements, and flowing down requirements and implementation concepts to subsystem

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s in Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics (STEM) and 10 years of prior relevant experience

  • Experience in technical leadership

  • Experience in System Security Engineering, computer technology reverse engineering, AT, cybersecurity or embedded security

  • Experience designing, implementing, testing and fielding real-time embedded security-oriented solutions on Department of Defense (DoD) programs with secure systems technologies, methodologies, policies and guidelines

  • Experience generating security (AT and/or program protection) requirements, design and architecture artifacts, plans and/or policies

Qualifications We Prefer

  • DoD Top Secret clearance with current SSBI within last 5 years desired

  • The ability to obtain and maintain additional program access as required

Job Summary:

The metal fabrication and welding tech is responsible for executing a variety of mechanical fabrication efforts at an exceptional level, while collaborating in an integrated team environment with fellow support technicians, engineers, and internal and external engineering customers.

Primary responsibilities include welding and fabricating premium quality parts and assemblies from metal. Report to the Mechanical Prototyping and Fabrication Section Lead within the Engineering Prototyping and Fabrication department (the Bike Shop) 
 
Responsibilities to Anticipate:  

  • Metal fabrication of critical prototype, aerospace parts and test assemblies using various types of metal fabrication tools.

  • Use of general machine shop tools and support equipment including the use of typical dimensional measuring tools

  • Work with basic sketches and, underdeveloped drawing packages as well as model renderings

  • Responsible for all aspects of fabrication including part/machine setup, safe equipment operation, part inspection, managing their workload, supporting customers’ schedules, delegating, and coordinating work when required

  • Work in a multi-program-controlled area.

    Qualifications You Must Have:

  • A minimum of six (6) years of relevant experience welding MIG, and TIG.

  • Six (6) or more years of interpreting mechanical blueprints / technical drawings with the ability to fabricate the requested parts.

  • Ability to inspect fabricated parts using standard precision measuring instruments to ensure tolerances are met.
