Responsibilities:
The Genetic Counselor for Oncology provides genetic counseling, test coordination, and follow-up for patients in the Piedmont Cancer Genetics Program. Supports referring providers & oncology team, provides cancer genetics education and outreach, and engages in genetics program activities
Qualifications:
MINIMUM EDUCATION REQUIRED:
Master's Degree in Genetic Counseling or equivalent program from an ABGC or ABMG accredited training program required.
MINIMUM EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Minimum of 1 year of genetic counseling experience required
MINIMUM LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION REQUIRED BY LAW:
Board Certified in Genetic Counseling by the American Board of Genetic Counseling required. Active (Full) Genetic Counselor License for the State of Georgia required prior to start date.
ADDITIONAL QUALIFICATIONS:
Work experience in oncology/cancer genetic counseling preferred. Experience with Epic and Progeny software preferred.
