Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage international import shipments via air and ocean from origin to final delivery
  • Ensure all import documentation is accurate and compliant with U.S. Customs regulations
  • File entries and work closely with customs brokers to facilitate clearance
  • Track shipments and provide regular updates to customers and internal stakeholders
  • Communicate with overseas agents, carriers, truckers, and warehouses to ensure smooth cargo movement
  • Resolve shipment discrepancies, delays, or issues proactively
  • Verify and process invoices, ensuring accuracy of charges and cost control
  • Maintain accurate records in the company's transportation management system (TMS)
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, including TSA, FMC, and CBP requirements

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2-4 years of experience in freight forwarding, specifically imports (air and/or ocean)
  • Strong knowledge of international shipping documentation (e.g., B/L, AWB, commercial invoices, packing lists)
  • Familiarity with U.S. Customs procedures and import regulations
  • Experience working with a TMS or logistics software
